EA should be ashamed that Activision does a better job especially with DLC

Make it look really good, make it multiplayer, withhold stuff for DLC. That's pretty much EA's whole thought process on this (and often their thought process in general).
I don't doubt that several of the DICE team likely are fans of the original two Battlefronts, but this always sounded like EA was aiming clearly at the casual gaming audience to maximise their returns and get it out the door in time for The Force Awakens hype overflow. Who the hell cares about depth and longevity, just get people shelling out and they can ditch it on a shelf after a couple weeks or whatever, that kind of approach. I don't mean that as a dig at casual gamers at all, just that it's an approach that really isn't going to get the cash from someone like me no matter how much I enjoy Star Wars.
I am sad about the whole situation, having been such a far of the originals. Graphically and audibly it's truly excellent, just excellent. And that's wasted on something so shallow as this new Battlefront.
It always felt like that wanted to have their cake and eat it - position it as a reboot and use that as a shield from criticism, but still use the Battlefront name for prestige. Ach, whole thing makes me disappointed.

How has this not happened yet? The Star Wars franchise being used poorly for pretty much forever? And it would be such an easy sell. Using the Force Unleashed engine, and just have the game pick up after Jedi, and have Luke take on Dark Jedi, and remnants of the Empire. It should have been a no brainer. Funny that COD always has it Same with Halo.

As far as single player, it's a huge letdown. The multiplayer is fun, but that's the troubling part. It only shows you how much promise this game had and what could have been. Single player missions on Jakku or Hoth would be great. Instead your stuck playing them online and when you do play single player, the maps are very limited.

Hell, they could've easily used Battlefront as a prequel to The Force Awakens. The timing was perfect for it.

I'd welcome any new Star Wars game. But apparently the only one coming out is a re-release of a pad-racer game and Lego Star Wars which is a tad disappointing. I can never get into the Lego games.
I want a game of TFA where you just play through the movie, like the other games of the Star Wars movies. I tend to enjoy them; especially the Episode 1 game which I thought was excellent.
I'd also love a new Star Wars Starfighter game.

I bought the special edition version of game and a year-long subscription to PS Plus so I could play online.
Let's just say I wasted a decent amount of money on this game.

I really want a new Knights of the Old Republic whether it's the third game or just a new story.

I just want a Star Wars adventure game where you can visit different worlds and explore. Not entirely like KOTOR, but something that can explore the various worlds of Star Wars.
I hate that this is what we wound up with and we are stuck with this treatment.

All the things they f***** up, did anyone expect anything less from EA?
This company doesn't know it's head from it's ass as far as making games.

What really needs to be made is a new TIE Fighter game that takes place during the transition to/establishment of the first order. One could make all kinds of fun missions with new alien craft. And they could bring back the Mission's Officer from the first one and make him old. Hehe. Or an X-Wing game that takes place during the period of the new Star Wars Rebels show... Or a TIE Fighter game based back then, they could have a series of missions where you blast old Clone Retirees. What I'm saying is they need to make a new X-Wing or TIE Fighter-esque space simulator. And they need to make it now.

I hate that this is what we wound up with and we are stuck with this treatment. That would be awesome. Star Wars has so many cool planets and worlds, that would be quality. Sounds a bit like No Man's Sky but Star Wars.

They should add a DLC that allows you to take control of Kylo Ren and kill Gungans.

If love to see a "Force unleashed" esque game that bridges Jedi & Awakens.
Have it focus on one of Luke's trainees and through him witness - Kylo's heel turn - Rise of the New Order - Boba Fett's return - Luke's self imposed exile
Have the ending be Luke wipes your memory

So said to sold 12 million. Nothing will change Not shocked, sci-fi nerds have a ton of money to throw around and EA hyped the shit out of it by letting a shitton of youtubers play the beta. edit: Seriously, the saddest thing is that two games that are ten years older than it still have a ton more content.

Battlefront II was an awesome game. You could do everything on that. Rebel, Imperial, flying spaceships, blowing shit up, etc...
Secondly only to Rogue Squadron in terms of fun IMO.

Nothing funnier online then flying a lander ship on the enemy capitol ship and having everyone bail out and steal the enemy fighters
