I didn't plan on buying this but got it as a gift for Christmas from family since they know I'm fan of Star Wars so stuck with it for about a month. The game game gets old quick. No bots, no good single player no battles from the Prequel Era and we won't see any dlc from episode 7 so thats a strike. IMO not enough maps to keep you playing. A $50 Season Pass is a ripoff. I hate what EA has done to it. They should have not used the BF name

Pretty much exactly why I thought it looked good but was going nowhere near it to play as long as EA had something to do with it.
I have no problem with the online only aspect but once I saw that $50 season pass I already anticipated the initial game was gonna be absoloute bare bonea and loe and behold.

Why can't they just release a simple SW game where you blow the living shit out of your enemies in a sequence of missions gradually building to a conclusion, either on foot or flying a ship, on your own, if you prefer?

Even if you hate the prequels The Clone Wars Era would make for some good battles
It sad when Battlefront 2 got more better options

Eh, the beta seemed like enough for me. The graphics are beautiful, but lack of a decent solo campaign and the fact that the gameplay kinda sucks ruined it.

I bought one of those $1 pre-order cards from Target but after playing the beta and that there is no single player, there was no way I'd pay full price for it. It's a pretty decent Redbox rental once or twice but not worth full price.

Said it before and I'll say it again: no campaign, no buy.

Ya, lost all interest when I found out there was no campaign. Don't plan on picking this up anytime soon unless it's super cheap

I decided not to buy it when I saw they'd basically stripped away features from the past 2 games. Surely a sequel should improve on things, not take them away.
No campaign, less maps, less vehicles, less playable heroes, no Galactic Conquest (which I loved in the originals), less maps, no prequels stuff means I'm not buying it.
It's a shame because I tend to enjoy Star Wars games and loved the other 2 Battlefront games.

See I could get down with no campaign if the multi was deep.
It isn't. Very shallow weapons and perk pool. Small selection of maps and the gameplay itself is very basic. With games like CoD and Halo. The multi is pretty expansive (In Halo's case with free additional maps) that the campaign is almost a bonus. Battlefront has nothing but the license.
But I'm sure they'll out out Battlefront: Awakens in two years. Put Kylo Ren on the cover and people will spend money all over again because Star Wars.

I'd love another "Rogue Squadron" game that has mission through the different eras or "Knights of the old republic 3" (I'd take a remaster of KOTOR2 that's actually finished)
I would say EA is the empire but the Empire has more scruples
