Granted they had no main eventers in the group. The gimmick was really over and even if it was something brief, do you think they could have had a main event program?
Again, I know that's highly unlikely with how crowded the main event scene was, but with maybe a couple more members that were higher up on the card to give them more legitimacy, they could've won all of the midcard titles with their primary goal to win the World Title to have some type of ultimate censorship power.

Vince wanted to portray how annoying the RTC was, because the PTC always annoyed him.
The group's intent always just seemed to be as annoying as possible. Their entrance music was a car alarm

I think they could have easily. Just have them amp up their censoring, going to the point of pulling a William Regal and hijacking Raw until their demands were met.

No
It was a parody of real life censors who had targeted WWE and was good for a quick laugh, but beyond that, not at all.

I think maybe on a Royal Rumble, or another stacked card. The pay off to have Austin beat Val and end the RTC would've been good.
Another list of heels who should've challenged a face Austin in 2001 :sigh:

Vince playing out RL feuds on TV is not main event material.

No. The RTC did not have the character depth that guys like Rock, Austin, Jericho, HHH, etc. had. They were pawns in a Vince McMahon grudge against the Parents Television Council. They were never going to be anything more than a parody with a short shelf life, just long enough to capture some midcard titles for a month.

Nah, I don't see it. I think he did a great job, but I don't think anyone would seriously have bought the idea of Stevie Richards as a main event guy. He was more like The Genius than he was Mr. Perfect.
Val Venis, in his ice cream man uniform, got a WWF title shot against The Rock on SmackDown. That was about their ceiling, a TV feud for the Champion.

I think they were fine in the role they had, as a foil to the midcard guys like Rikishi, 2 Cool and later on with Billy Gunn & Chyna.

Sure, why not? There was quite a few filler spots open back in 2001.
Stevie Richards was a beast with the mic. He could've made it work.
