But with the same amount of performance-enhancing drug allegations, oddly enough. I wonder if Manning will follow Ray Lewis' lead and call the Al-Jazeera report "tricks of the devil." I missed this part? Who made these other than those on Pats boards? www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_29338568/al-jazeera-reporter-says-second-source-confirmed-hghTry as the Worldwide Leader in Sports might, this story isn't going away, especially if the Broncos advance to the Super Bowl. Peyton Manning's going to have to answer question after question on the subject in the week leading up to Super Bowl 50.

Ugh. Look I will cheer for the Broncos and Manning as it looks like I'm stuck with him the rest of the year. I'm really looking forward to next year though when this is Brock's team (he'll get tagged if they don't have a deal with him, already been hinted at) and the 20 m extra in cap money. You really think they'd tag Brock? That is 19 million right there and you won't talk him down if you do that.

Again I ask. Where's the allegation that Peyton Manning received and took HGH especially when the same person said “Let’s make it clear what the allegation is. The allegation in the program is very simple, that when Charlie Sly worked in the Guyer [Institute] doing part of his training . . . the clinic was sending out not one shipment but repeated shipments of growth hormone to Ashley Manning in Florida. That’s it.” Granted we have a thread for this and I wouldn't want to comment on it further here but she sure as shit backpedaled on TV.

Kids proven he works for this team and they can win with him. Only bad thing is if they tag him they lose Von for sure. Personally with the emergence of Barrett and Rey coming on late, might be best to let him go anyway for what it's gonna cost. If they can keep the other core guys and Brock playing like he has this year this is still a top 5 team next year. With a 40 year old Manning or a who knows what we finish 3rd in the division next year.

That’s it.” Granted we have a thread for this and I wouldn't want to comment on it further here but she sure as shit backpedaled on TV. No one connected to Al-Jazeera or the report has said that Peyton Manning received and took HGH. In fact, Deborah Davies has been fairly adamant in saying that their report not once accuses Manning of using HGH. But while people might argue that Al-Jazeera is backpedaling because Davies reiterated that the documentary never accuses Manning of using HGH, she has said that HGH was sent to Manning’s wife, which Manning essentially said was true in that puff-piece interview on Sunday NFL Countdown the day after the report became public. "Any medical treatments my wife received, that’s her business. Had nothing to do with me. Nothing has been sent to her or my wife used that I have taken. Absolutely not. My treatments I do, she may have hers and that is her business." - Manning in the ESPN interview last Sunday. So while no one, from Al Jazeera to ESPN, has said "Manning used HGH", he'll still have to answer his share of questions about it. Which is what I was saying. I'm interested to see if he tackles the questions head-on or if he takes the Ray Lewis route and proselytizes and calls the reports "tricks of the devil."

Manning just say that the everyone played better with him out there? Well, he wasn't wrong. That was shitty on the part of the offense, however, since they had every reason to play like that for Brock as well. Put Manning out there and suddenly everyone decides to bust their asses that much harder. I would not know why, though, since Brock has significantly outplayed Peyton this season (and this comes from someone, as a longtime Colts fan, will always have a soft spot for Peyton). I just think the 1-2 punch of getting hurt by the Rams and then beaten black and blue by the Colts in the playoffs kind of permanently broke Peyton and he no longer has the legs to move or drive the ball downfield anymore. I do look forward to see Peyton as a coach in the NFL, however.

This defense without Von is weak (potential is there but not enough to let him walk) and I cannot see sending $19 million on a kid that barely middle of the road right now. I think we fall to 3rd at best in the west without Von, $19million to Brock and crap at the backup. I don't want Peyton back but I am also not dropping a Manning-level contract on him either. Just looking at the $20 that Peyton frees, that should get Brock, a solid backup and one other for depth. Von, we'll have money from Ware and Clady getting cut or restructured I would imagine, maybe some from Peyton and some restructure work that Elway loves. I don't see us losing either but if it is an either/or I'm taking Von. I like Brock but not at the level that comes with that decision.

My theory: the Broncos offense knew they had to play better for Peyton Manning because Manning isn't the quarterback that Brock Osweiler is, so they have to play at 150 percent full speed to make up for Manning's failings. Things like blocking better because Manning isn't as mobile, attacking the ball as a receiver because Manning's passes aren't as crisp or sharp as Osweiler's, running harder because 2nd and long or 3rd and long with Manning is a lot more of a challenge than it is for Osweiler.

Cutting Manning or letting him "retire" (must do), cutting Clady (sucks but I put must there), and cutting Ware pre June 1 (pretty much a definite to avoid that 3m non guaranteed roster bonus) would only create around 4.8m of dead money but would free up 37.9 million in cap money. To go along with the projected 10 m (apx.) projected increase in the capm right there we can pretty much get hold of everyone else for the future. edit : oh yeah the punter is toast too...750K in dead money but 3.25 m in cap money free'd up.

Not the most scintillating game 256 for most on here... especially looking at the post totals.

Steelers won't have to worry about seeing the Patriots if they win the next 2 games till the AFC Championship. The one thing Ben's never done is beat Brady in the Playoffs. I'd get more satisfaction out of that than winning the Super Bowl. It's always bugged me that both Super Bowls Ben won he didn't beat Brady in the playoffs.

As I said earlier, while it sucks that the Patriots lost out on homefield advantage, they ended up with a pretty reasonable consolation prize. Provided the Steelers beat Cincinnati, the Patriots won't have to face Pittsburgh until the AFC Championship Game, Pittsburgh would have to face Denver - thus guaranteeing elimination of one of the two biggest threats to the Patriots in the AFC, and New England would play the winner of what is sure to be a rock fight between the Chiefs and Texans. Of course, the Bengals could beat the Steelers rendering this all moot, but I think that outside of Washington upsetting Seattle or Green Bay, that would be the biggest upset of Wild Card weekend.

Call me insane but I don't think Green Bay beats the Redskins at Washington. Outside of the Vikings we haven't beaten a single winning team all year and we just wouldn't have the momentum Washington has right now. Granted the Redskins haven't won against a winning team period all year but I trust a team that is coming off four straight wins at home over a team with just nothing going on at all right now.
