Considering how successful it was last year and the buys exceeded their expectations, it is kinda surprising they aren't doing it as a PPV show again.
I think given how he's on the youtube channel, Terry Funk will be one of the surprise competitors in the Rumble.

Would say the day it falls on is why it's not on PPV this year

Anyone know anywhere (anyone) streaming/playing this in Los Angeles?
Would love to see this live.
Also, just curious, are Wrestle Kingdom dark matches ever made commercially available on retail releases?

I'm so excited for this. It's going to set the tone for what I'm sure will be an eventful year for NJPW and I can't wait to see how it plays out.

They introduced it two weeks ago after The final Road To Show, announcing the six man tag would now decide the first champs.
Not the first time there's been a trios title in Japan, The UWA had Trio titles which has been resurrected on and off.

OK, putting this here to make it official, my goal is to get to see Wrestle Kingdom 11 live.
I started taking online Japanese courses last April, I've always wanted to go to Tokyo, and an event like this seems like the ultimate reason to do it.
Are Wrestle Kingdom tickets as hard to come by as Mania tickets? When do they usually go on sale? Do they usually sell out?

I can't answer your question, but can I ask what you're taking and is it relatively easy? I wish to learn Japanese as well. I've tried all of them, and Japan Society is the easiest one. You've probably heard for years how exceptionally hard Japanese is. Truthfully, and I've struggled with learning languages in the past, the only really hard part of Japanese is the tense of numbers (for instance, they have different words entirely for "first place," "first of the month" "first born" etc.). Otherwise, Japan Society really makes it understandable. I started it when I had a bout of insomnia last spring and, the only thing that makes me more restless than literal restlessness is wasted hours, so I started watching their videos 3-4 times before bed. Give these three a shot. Watch one tonight 3-4 times before bed, then start your day with it tomorrow and before bed watch the next one. Continue like this the next day. The key is repetition and practice, and these quick efficient videos make the repetition easy: These three alone you'll have enough to conversationally get around. Hope this helps.

I really, really want to stay up and watch this. Whether I'll be able to or not is the real question.

Counting is actually much easier than english, and it's all about practice. Just make these 5 minute videos part of a daily routine (i suggest either starting or ending) and you'll be darn near fluent in no time.
