They introduced it two weeks ago after The final Road To Show, announcing the six man tag would now decide the first champs. Not the first time there's been a trios title in Japan, The UWA had Trio titles which has been resurrected on and off. They showed off the belts yet? And that's 7 titles.

OK, putting this here to make it official, my goal is to get to see Wrestle Kingdom 11 live. I started taking online Japanese courses last April, I've always wanted to go to Tokyo, and an event like this seems like the ultimate reason to do it. Are Wrestle Kingdom tickets as hard to come by as Mania tickets? When do they usually go on sale? Do they usually sell out? WK tickets are very easy to come by. They sell them in convenience stores and there are some second-party sites that sell them. They usually go on sale in October, I believe. portal2.tickebo.jp/pc/en/njpw/index.html is a solid site, but it doesn't give you the actual ticket but rather a code. Personally, I was more comfortable with a physical ticket, so we used a service that gets you a dude in Japan who will to go 7-11 and buy you and mail you a physical ticket. I'll have to ask my friend what the specific site was. Also, they usually don't sell out, and the tickets that we'd consider premium here are super cheap there. I got rampside seats and they were only $130 which is a steal. The only seats that really tend to sell out are the nosebleeds and general stadium seating, which I assume you wouldn't really want to slum it up in if you're making the trip. Even grab a ringside seat, it's relatively inexpensive. (I think it was $400 last time?) Wrestle Kingdom was the driving force behind my Tokyo pilgrimage, and the trip itself was an experience that kind of sent my life in a weird direction that I'm much better off with as a result. As for the Japanese you'll need, sumimasen means everything you could want or need it to mean so you'll be using it a lot. Have fun.

It gives guys who aren't doing much like Taguchi something to go after, and makes the multi man tags on shows have some meaning.

And now I want Shelley, Sabin and Kushida As the the Motor City Splitters to battle for these belts.

Also the NEVER belts still entertain me, the idea went from "Young Lions Cup - Japan Edition", to "Mid life crisis people punch eachother really hard championship"

Once New Japan stopped doing the NEVER shows, the title lost its purpose. Similar to how the WWF European title went from a Eurocentric title to another meaningless midcard belt. Hopefully with the new Lion's Gate shows the NEVER belts become a mainstay and a tangible goal for newbies & rookies.

Minor spoiler but Haku is at the Dome. He could be there just to see his son. Or might be a participant in the pre-show rumble.

Ishii's done a great job since winning it back in 14 boosting the title's value in his matches with Goto, Honma and Makabe and making it something worth going after and fighting for, I'd hardly call the belt meaningless. Shibata could as well if he wins it The NEVER Trios belt could be used for Lion's Gate and Korakuen Hall shows and help fill out B PPV cards like Destruction and give guys in all divisions who've got nothing planned something to do instead of spinning their wheels.

I would have givin an arm or a leg to be able to have attended any of the early 90s dome shows. There is nobody working anymore that I can get into. God I miss the era of the 3 musketeers. The only person I like is Honma. That match with Ishii was killer. I just wish they'd stop doing the Giant Baba booking and stop jobbing him out. He's clearly one of the most over guys in the company. So why do we need to see the same matches over and over again. I'm so sick of Okada, Nakamura, and Tanahasi. They are the reason I stopped watching in the 2000s. The fact there has not been a goo licensed puroesu game since KOC 2 because the current stuff as a whole smells. How did we go from Vader to Doc Gallows as the Geijin monster. Bullet has nothing on BatT.

Prediction Time --------------------
IWGP Heavyweight Championship Kuzuchika Okada [c] vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi - Okada wins. There's no other outcome here, unless they want to milk out yet another WK from these 2
IWGP Intercontinental Championship Shinsuke Nakamura [c] vs. A.J. Styles - Nakamura. I can see AJ losing and might do a pseudo face turn ala Devitt's final match. With Naito's rise, AJ isn't the top heel anymore and people have been cheering him even against Tanahashi
NEVER Openweight Championship Tomohiro Ishii [c] vs. Katsuyori Shibata - Ishii wins. He just had a long stink of feud with Makabe and needs a longer run with the belt. Shibata probably goes back to the Naito/EVIL feud. I'd love to see a singles reign for Shibata who's one of my favorite guys in whole of wrestling
IWGP Tag Team Championship Bullet Club (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) [c] vs. G.B.H. (Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma) - GBH wins. Guns & Gallows have been major disappointment since getting the titles, with a worst feud of the decade candidate with Maria's team. Anderson's contract status is up in the air too
Hirooki Goto vs. Tetsuya Naito - With a rumored title match in the horizon for the winner of this match (as Styles/Naito last year), can't see past Naito here, who's been phenomenal in the heel role. His ring work has suffered a bit with his new character but if he brings his working boots on (tag finals), this could be a sleeper match of the night. Goto always gives 100%
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Kenny Omega [c] vs. Kushida - KUSHIDA wins here. No arguments needed
ROH World Championship Jay Lethal [c] vs. Michael Elgin - I don't like Elgin, but he's over there when he was with the Japanese guys. Lethal is still unknown quantity there. Lethal should win to continue his reign of awesome.
NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga and Yujiro Takahashi) vs. Jay Briscoe, Mark Briscoe and Toru Yano - BC wins since they are regular and gives something for Tama Tonga who is the most underutilized member of the roster. Excited to see Briscoes in action, especially Jay who's great in big matches.
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) [c] vs. Matt Sydal and Ricochet vs. Roppongi Vice (Baretta and Rocky Romero) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) - Bucks win. Ricochet probably wouldn't want to be regular with his other commitments and RPG just had the title.
New Japan Rumble - Komatsu and Tanaka are leaving soon. Nagata just won last year's. So i expect Kojima to win this year's.
