The worse I feel for Big Show.
It wasn't one smarky crowd, it's one of those chants that's following him. It's not "boo, you're a bad guy and we hate you" or "booo, you're beating up my favourite wrestler", it's a fourth wall breaking "you're old and we actually want you to leave the business" chant.
Big Show should be on that Jericho "beloved" level, or a "one last match" Christian level. But instead he has to hear entire arenas telling him to retire. Even on a "I'm a bad guy" level, that's still got to sting a bit.
And what happens when he DOES retire? After twenty years we're not going to get a "Leave the Memories" alone package or a "thank you Big Show" chant, unless the fans do a complete U-Turn.
Man, poor Big Show.

I think he'll look at his paycheck and figured he can take some ribbing from the crowd.

Brah, Show don't give a f***, hahahaha. That goes for anybody else that feels sorry for him. Show's been in this business for too long and he's too damn smart (and frankly, too rich) to truly be bothered by this kind of stuff.
He plays into the chants on TV. Hell, his character now is basically "bitter giant that refuses to retire because f*** you." He's a worker, he knows how to channel that frustration that fans feel with his character into legit heat during a time when WWE doesn't have anything resembling a hot heel outside MAYBE Kevin Owens (and even then, he gets cheered half the time).
I'm sure he's not shedding any tears over it.

If he was a face, he would not be getting those chants. He's quiet good as a face - and given humor, he's even better as he's actually a funny guy who gets the timing and quality.
As a heel he's tired. But that's also a damnation of the WWE unable to find a fresh new monster heel to fit that role. And personally, I hate him as a heel because he's such a good face.

I don't think it breaks the fourth wall. Post Iron-Clad Contract and Job-Saving Lawsuit Big Show, according to Kayfabe, the only way he'll leave is on his own accord. That's why "please retire" actually makes sense to yell at his character.

Big Show, Kane and Chris Jericho can all f*** off right out of the business. I don't want to see any of these three wastes of space again.

Their fault for overexposing him. This. It's been sixteen years and he's been unbearable for at least 13

I'm sure he's wiping his tears with $100 bills.
He's one of the richest wrestlers in the world.

if he was a face and still getting that chant I might feel bad for .000000000001 second but it works for him as a heel. He really needs a "you must go now, your planet needs you" chant though.

Kane had one of the best runs of his entire career with Bryan just a few years ago. Jericho comes back, has good matches and puts guys over. Big Show hate I get, Kane hate I kinda get but Jericho?

The real tragedy about Big Show is that he plays to the chants so well, and when he's given some good material and a chance to be funny in some way rather than a sobbing wreck or a growly monster, he does so well at it. Peoples' exhaustion with him is so utterly outside of his actual abilities or actions, and it sucks to see him in the position he's in as a performer because of it.

Yeah, he did a super great job putting Neville over.
Jericho's trash. Time for him to not come back.

He needs to yell/slobber something like "I DON'T GO TO YOUR JOB FLIPPING BURGERS AT MCDONALD'S AND TELL YOU TO RETIRE SO LEAVE ME ALONE!"
Instant win.

Again I want fans to use the chant towards guys they like (Bryan for one if he were to comeback) to tell them it's ok to stop and take care of themselves. No this is not a joke response. I'm quite serious.

I would laugh so hard at that comment, I wouldn't be able to hate him. Granted it's hard not to like him, given the fact he's got such a charming personality outside the ring. It's not his fault creative doesn't know how to create new stars anymore.

I feel sorry for him in the sense that it sucks he's getting these chants because if it wasn't for the E's refusal to push new stars as the focal point instead of guys from 10+ years ago then the ire aimed at him wouldn't be too bad
On the other hand, if the E didn't then he should have realised several years ago his time should have been up. He has plenty of money I imagine so hard to feel too sorry on that respect and if he still wants to perform then become a house show guy and stop taking up TV time with his "Been on TV for 20 years almost non stop" butt
