I'm just wondering as I've never done it before. I am a 6 feet 5 single male with black and white genetics. I'm worried of other countrys racial stereotypes I'm not going to lie. I don't mind being by myself infact it's lovely but when you are very TALL,DARK and handsome it can be awkward.

Do Finland, Poland, or eastern Europe.
You could look for one of those cross-country multi-city deals across Europe, too, but I'd personally pick a longer stay in a single country.

ummm...are looking for places to hook up? Haha, that's what it sounds like to me! Anyway, if you just want to travel I think the Philippines could be fun. I heard your dollar goes really far there and it's beautiful. I'm actually looking to travel internationally myself sometime this year. I actually just got my passport renewed  I'm definitely torn between places. I'd really love to go to Germany since my mother's family comes from there, but am more drawn to places where your money gets you more. |

I remember watching something on Spike TV that the best place to go for single guys is Sweden. Those hot Swedish chicks.

I have friends that taught in South Korea. If you go there, expect to be treated differently and have people speak English to you regardless of what level of Korean you demonstrate.

I can only share anecdotes from one friend, but he's also single, non-white, and found EE (specifically Serbia and Ukraine, although this was before Ukraine got a little...yeah) really warm and pleasant people. I'd still give the nod to Finland or Poland, but don't be intimidated. |
