I think Jericho just needs a heel turn to freshen up. He hasn't been heel since 2012, a longer stretch of face/heel affiliation than he's ever had, and for someone whose entire legacy is how diverse his talents are, the repetitiveness I think is grating to a lot of people.
Playing up the pseudo-local man act might make for an entertaining villain. I still love him.

Hoping it's just for tonight. Jericho is in my all-time top 5, and I'm cool with an occasional guest appearance here and there, but I don't need to see him on a full-time basis anymore.

An over the top version of his 'WWE can do no wrong' persona he does on podcasts and talking heads appearances would be a jolly entertaining heel if done right and he has the charisma to pull it off. These dudes (Jericho, Kane, RVD) should get a decent retirement angle when it's decided it's their final run. If they just lose the rudder match and disappear then no one will care as we'd just assume they'll be back in a year or so, let them go out with a decent story line.

I only want to see Jericho back if he is back for at least a year. The problem with his returns are that he comes back for too short of a time and he has never really had a WWE run that started out interesting. His first run and return both started slow and then got amazing. He's been coming back for too short and leaving before he can get rolling. If he was only there for a couple of months when he returned the first time, we would have gotten the Orton feud, the crap with Santino and the JBL feud...He never would have found a niche that brought him his most success.
So as a Jericho fan, I would welcome him back long term because a year to two year Jericho run would produce great matches and allow him to reinvent himself again for one last interesting run. Also as a Jericho fan I have no interest in seeing him back only for now through Mania. History shows that he just won't do anything close to what he is capable of in that time

I think Kane's going to do alright. He seems to always find his lane and make things work, albeit sometimes it takes longer than others. I was hoping Big Show and Mark Henry were going to stay a tag team for a while and be like how Dick the Bruiser and The Crusher were in the 80s, two well established veterans who could be marketed well and believably be a threat when teamed together, giving new talents an instant feather in their cap when they defeat them, and partnering would help ease the demand on each of their aging bodies by 50% a night. Of course, they week after I thought that, they beat the still-hot Wyatts clean.

Haven't watched Raw yet so no spoilers but if they set up Jericho vs Ambrose with a proper storyline for the IC Title at Mania that alone will keep me hooked.

Hopefully Neville gets his win back. That would require Jericho to be unselfish. This almost broke my brain. Jericho is unselfish to a fault. In fact, it's why people stopped caring about him, he lost too much.

Jericho beating him at a Japanese house show did nothing either way. And again, the only reason losing to Jericho seems so bad is because Jericho constantly loses. Selfishness is the last thing in play here.

But he'd rather look good when the cameras are on than do what Scott Hall did for him when it counts.

People wouldn't have a problem with him coming back if it was a run with real intent, thought and development. If you had a Jericho booked right then you have a great addition to the roster for the next couple of months or so. However, as it has been stated here, Jericho has become extremely selfless in putting others over which in turn has kind of made him predictable and "meh" to some.

I want him to commit at least to being full-time on TV for a year or two, so he can sink his teeth into something creatively. If he's around for a few months, you can't do much other than have a quick feud and a few good TV matches. There's not enough time to establish anything.

You know he's going to lose in the end, so it's up to the storyline to hook us. But storylines with him are usually bungled. They kinda give away the end early on, and then move forward like it never happened. Btw, Neville losing was on a Network exclusive special. More people watch TNA Impact than they do Network specials

I skipped Raw, how did the crowd react to his return? Was he over or lukewarm.

I skipped Raw, how did the crowd react to his return? Was he over or lukewarm. The crowd popped for his entrance, did his sing along chants and followed his lead on a new one specifically for New Day and began chanting it again during the New Day's match without Jericho (or anyone) prompting it.

Just watched Jericho's promo and was entertained. I love that he blended his original debut (99) promo with his current persona. I'd like to see him build new stars and help newer guys get over.
