Being Offered to compete at WrestleMania against The Undertaker, lose, and get higher pay in TNA or the indies just on that alone. Then tarnishing it and remaining a fat party boy who keeps falling on thumbtacks? Or Losing a lot of weight to rebuild your career on a smaller yet better booked show to come back to the company that made you chubby and fodder for guys like Mahabali Shera? In Abyss' case you are just using TNA's current state to scrutinize his decision in hindsight. In James Storm's case, did you ever think he wanted to get on NXT in order to improve his standing with TNA and the indies. Storm is a top guy in TNA. Between WWE's Indy/Japan signing sprees and even the "homegrown" guys stepping their game up and overcoming the stereotype that homegrown guys "can't" wrestle, what exactly would Storm have going for him?

In no universe is choosing tna over a steady paycheck in the wwe a good idea.
He would've gotten his checks paid on time, or not seeing them bounce, he would've been compensated and taken care off in case he got injured...but now that's all out of the window since he chose tna.
I hope James doesn't get injured, Dixie hasn't shown compassion when her workers almost became paraplegics or when actually one got hepatitis b.

Abyss was dumber. Storm might be making a decent call if NXT wasn't offering a regular deal, and TNA would be paying him decently.

He still would have made more money from a Wrestlemania pay day and increase his asking price for TNA and the indies in general (even if after losing to Taker he becomes a mid card monster that generally loses) He also wouldn't have had to put his body through nearly as much punishment as he has which has hindered his ability greatly.

I was supposed to turn the OP into a Poll and by mistake removed it. I forgot where the Poll option was yesterday but the OP still stands. Abyss could have prevented that but he choose to stay with TNA. With Storm, nobody knows if he will stay or not.
