He's a good, sometimes great wrestler with the right opponent. But there's just.....nothing whatsoever compelling about him.

While I do like him, I still don't quite grasp just what it is about him, that makes WWE so adamant the he's THE guy. He has a good look, but it's not like he's a young Rock or Orton. He's a good wrestler, but they have a roster full of those. And to me, he still isn't quite there on the mic. All in all, he's a good talent, but not one that just absolutely stands out from the pack.

They are trying to make him into "Stone Cold John Cena"

They are trying to make him into "Stone Cold John Cena" Cena himself is just Dwayne "The Hulk" Johnson, so it just shows you where they are creatively.

He's ok and he's improving but he's just "there". It feels like he's finally got a real angle to get into but it still feels like, how can I say it. He feels like a CAW doing career mode in a pre-made storyline. You can replace Reigns with your create-a-wrestler and it would be exactly the same thing. No difference.
I like him but it still doesn't feel right.

Roman is somehow both the Michaels and the Jannetty of The Shield. He broke out of the tag team and became a singles star and management's "golden boy" like Michaels, yet he hangs on to the old tag team gimmick (theme, entrance, gear) like Jannetty. I can't think of anybody else who has done that. Bret Hart?

I like him and I also like his current title reign, but I kinda wish they'd stop booking him to be invincible.

I honestly prefer that to their booking for most of last year of him losing the big match all the time. It's like everybody knew he was the golden boy and the hand picked new star, when they were dragging out his title win for months it just felt like they were wasting time. I've basically accepted that no matter what , they are going to push Roman Reigns, even if it's to the detriment of everyone else. At least now that he wins all time they're being honest with us.

He certainly needs new theme music, without the "sierra, hotel, india, echo, lima, delta" intro it is such a dirge, something you'd expect a midcarder from 2006 to have. I swear his pop would be twice as loud if he had with more passion and variety.

He's been awesome the last few weeks.
His cardio is great. I swear he never stopped charging round the ring on Raw against Sheamus and his moves looked impactful

I like to watch him wrestle, but everything else about him is dull. His personality is very much Cena 2.0. In fact... I actually like Cena better. I may despise Cena, but at least it feels like Cena is who he is. And I can easilly paint him as a heel in my own mind. Reigns feels like he's someone we know could be more interesting pretending to be Cena, which is worse.

I can't think of anybody else who has done that. Only other I can think of is Jeff Hardy. Kept the Hardy Boyz gimmick, theme, and attire and while not as much of a golden boy as Roman is was still clearly someone management liked and saw as more of a future single star then Matt which was evident in them giving him chance after chance despite his numerous screw-ups outside the ring.

His megapush has caused me to appreciate Cena. If that's what they're going for and Cena slays the goof then yay I guess.

You're the only person here who feels like that. Of course, others feel the same way. The emotions around here fall in every spectrum when it comes to Roman Reigns. I mean, this got to be the 6th Roman thread of 2016 and the year is only a couple days old. There's always this person who takes the rhetorical question literally and then "scolds" the poster for their opinion. And of course this is the 6th Roman post, who else does WWE force us to talk about, and shove down our throats as their new Cena??

Roman's push is what made me realize WWE is no longer for me. After 25+ years of watching, that's quite an accomplishment.

Seeing the comparisons between Cena and Reigns, I wonder how a match between the two would actually play out.
Given how they're booked, either both or neither of them get the "Overcoming the Odds" boost. Crowd would seem to be muted depending on any angle leading to the match. Would be...interesting to see it play out with the usual tropes.
Back on topic: it feels like there's still nothing but, "CHEER HIM, DAMMIT!!!" behind the booking. So, not for me.

he's just kinda there for me too. sometimes i'll get into a match when he's in SHIELD badass mode and then he grabs a mic and start talking. also superman punch, spear. superman punch, spear starts to annoy me after the 4th or 5th time in a match, at least with Austin stunning everyone it was just one move not big move, ok wait, wait, wait- ok he's up now- other big move. he doesn't really do much to keep me from hitting the FF button after a couple of minutes though
