Stardust is a tribute to his father. Can't find it now but there's a picture with Cody as a kid wrestling with the name "Stardust", Dusty Rhodes said Stardust/Stephen Amell was a dream match of his, that's all it is. Honestly, that's why this whole thing is even going on. Stardust is the accumulation of his father's wishes and his own as a kid.
He's not stupid, he knows it's going nowhere but that's how things are.
Cesaro getting hurt, this Neville stuff and all these random things are what's caused him to not do well. Stardust/Goldust at WM couldn't even get approved. Now I feel is the time for him to give up the gimmick which is why I think Titus is here. Titus will help him abandon the gimmick and he'll go back to the awesome Cody we love. There's nothing else he can do as Stardust.
And I gotta say no, he's not the worst booked guy in the company. Cody's one of the only few guys I can call since the 2000s that's always had something to do. He's had the Orton stuff, the Daivari thing, Hardcore Holly, Legacy, Dashing, Disfigured, "Perfect Cody Rhodes", Rhodes Scholars, The Brotherhood and now Stardust. He's always got a gimmick, an angle or something to put him on screen. Not even Big Show has this.
He's at a weird position, a unique one, in that I'm sure if he wanted to he could be a main eventer but he doesn't since he's stated he wants to have a long climb like Bret and HBK had. He's a throwback.

I think he is quite mediocre in the ring but he is still young and has some charisma, could one day become something worthwhile, but as long as he has the Stardust gimmick he is going nowhere fast.

Goldust is right there with Stardust. Such a shame they've regulated him to the backburner after he returned from injury. The guy is outstanding.
Might as well pair them together again if they aren't doing anything with either. Or maybe pull the trigger on a proper feud that has some real drama to it. One bad match doesn't indicate that they don't work well together. I know they've had at least a dozen house show matches at this point, too.

Cody hit the glass ceiling with a sickening thud. I don't think there's a single quality Randy Orton has that Cody Rhodes doesn't possess, the difference is Orton was given the ball and was never made out to be a chump even when he was de-pushed. It's pretty sad it's the year 2016 and the guy is in the same spot, probably a bit worse off, that he was in in 2010.

The question is who in WWE is actually booked well

My vote would have to go to Ryback. He's been booked all over the proverbial map. Whether he be an unstoppable monster, or if he taps out to a kick to the leg, or as a self help reading schizo, it seems as though they have always tried to make him as hard to relate to as possible.

He's still only what 30-31. This seems like one of those situations like Edge, Jeff, or a Mark Henry type where after so long he finally catches his stride and rises above to become a major champ. Though he did have a great gimmick with the undashing character. Cody is better with a character than we they are just trying to have him play plain old Cody Rhodes.
