Honestly it being on Fox kind of ruins it for me. If only because if the show's good they'll undoubtedly brutally torture its schedule to death, because Fox.

And suddenly Gravity Falls' cancellation makes even more sense. Here's hoping this is a success.

Can't be worse than how Disney handled GF Eh, I dunno. Fox has a track record of mutilating animated programs that aren't "The Simpsons" or "Family Guy" after its 2004 return. I mean, "King of the Hill" was the first show where that started happening where it got on Tuesday nights, then Thursdays, and when it got on Sundays, it was always on the spot that would be preempted by The OT or football. And then they stopped advertising it (my biggest fear was that they were actually gonna gloss over the series finale, where they only were willing to air 2 of the final 6 episodes made, by having the commercial say "after the series finale of King of the Hill..."). Granted, other shows, like "Sit Down, Shut Up" and "Allen Gregory" deserved the raw treatment they got, because let's be honest, both shows were shit, but besides the two I mentioned at the top, they are very libertine with their animation. It's why "Bob's Burgers" and "American Dad!" went elsewhere. Also, I worry about this project due to the fact that some people work better with restrictions, like John Kricfalusi. But, then again, there are people that have shown they work better WITHOUT restrictions like Everett Peck (watch an episode of "Duckman" and an episode of "Squirrel Boy" and tell me what was better).

Fox hasn't been as cancel happy the last few years. Bob's Burgers, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Last Man on Earth have been doing fine on there still lately. Besides that, they always give their animated sitcoms a fair shot. It would have to suck royally like Sit Down Shut Up or Allen Gregory for it get canned so quick.
If nothing else, there's a better chance of Fox letting the season finish than Disney XD scheduling any of their stuff within one year.

And suddenly Gravity Falls' cancellation makes even more sense. Here's hoping this is a success. Thing is, it wasn't really cancelled. Alex Hirsch simply completed his plans for the story, even though Disney desperately wanted him to make more. They were even willing to let him produce the new DuckTales just to keep him in their camp.

I think going by some of the things Hirsh has said, there would have been a third and fourth season had Disney XD not been so scatterbrained with their scheduling.

While he was a little miffed at the scheduling of episodes, he really was done. He'd planned this from the start.
