Since the entire uppercard is currently out on injury, and we are approaching the business end of the wrestling calendar, could you see the WWE doing an invasion storyline to raise interest and temporarily increase the star power?
Blur the lines of face and heel and have people that are close to a call up, or really over in NXT star appearing on WWE programming, with the storyline being that they are creating their own opportunities to make in big, in time for Wrestlemania, instead of waiting for "the Authority" to deem them ready.
Have Blake and Murphy crash a tag team bout between New Day and Usos, then have Vaudevillians run BAMF out the week after.
Have Baron Corbin lay out members of Social Outcast. Finn Balor and Hideo Itami coming to Ambrose and Reigns rescue from a League of Nations beat down. Sami Zayn finally reigniting his feud with Owens at the Rumble.
Bring Baylee to provide backup for Becky, and have Alexa antagonise her along the way.
And the big one, Samoa Joe confronting Brock Lesnar.
What do you think?

Triple H is the NXT guy, and in general I don't think an invasion angle would be that ideal here. But sure there's room to bring up a few more NXT stars.

I really feel strongly about them letting NXT--and the developmental talent specifically--remain on their own. Obviously, bring up talent individually, but bringing a whole gang Nexus-style at once I'm not sure I like.
The injuries aren't NXT's fault. And if anything, Vince should've been developing the undercard better during the age of Cena/Orton.
But maybe I'm not flexible enough.

I think they should just strap a rocket on their latest acquisitions and shoot them straight onto the main roster in a big way. Those dudes don't need to languish in developmental and it'd give the main product a much-needed shot in the arm.

The word 'Invasion' in regards to wrestling makes my skin crawl.
The Alliance.
EV2.0
Aces & 8s
Even the ones that started off well like NWO and Nexus I look back on poorly due to bad booking or just overstaying their welcome.
If I never saw another wrestling invasion angle, I'd be just super fine with it.

There could be NXT guys in the Rumble or in the Andre Battle Royal, but that's about it.
If they have to bring up guys en masse on a permanent basis, just use the big Indy/international names so that NXT can be developmental again.
