I don't know how to run the company or what it takes to craft even one episode of Raw, but common sense says to me that the WWE in-ring talent needs time to heal every once in a while.
Idea:
Let Survivor Series be the final PPV of the year in November and use that as a legitimate season finale for all WWE televised shows and house shows. Restart the season the second week of every January to kick-off the lead to Royal Rumble and road to Wrestlemania. The time in between November and January will allow all in-ring talent to recover from the year, heal, and spend time with their families. During the break, the creative team and production crew will prep fresh content for the new year and unwind as well.

Would be the absolute perfect way to do it, talent would love it too I'm sure!
I understand that all television rights mean that they need to produce 3 hours of live Television a week, and 4 hours of taped......not sure the exact numbers, except that it must be weekly

This is one thing I did enjoy the Brand split because the talent each got a show to work and most of the time it's one or the other instead of now both. I felt in that period pre "Super Show" wrestlers had extra days to rest in a week. The people who where on Raw didn't have to work Tues for Smackdown and only one house show instead of Two because I believe they did on raw and one Smackdown a week plus a PPV if they had one. Other wise is another house show I think that could be a rotation of which brand has it.

Is suggested very often and the response is always the same. "WWE doing this would lose money and as it is a privately held company, will not do so. Instead people should individually get time off accomplishing the same purpose."

I could totally get behind this. I tend to go through a 2 or 3 month spell a year where I get bored with the product and quit watching. I'm sure I'm not the only one who could also use a break (I might injure my larynx booing Roman).
The only change I'd make is make Mania the season finale, and give them April and May off. Granted, you're way gives them the holidays, so there is that. Maybe a pre-taped Christmas Raw and just an end of year clipshow for SD that week.

Have NXT take over the main show for that month. Don't have everybody out, keep a few ring generals around and have them take the post-Mania season off. Have the winter themed around the future. It'll help them see who translates well onto TV too so we stop having the NXT graduate crash and burn.

I like the idea but I think it would work better to stagger the talent.
Let the talent rotate in and out. with everyone getting roughly 8 weeks off a year to recover. You could still keep them on TV doing promos and PSAs but keep them with no travel and ring work for that period.
IF that isn't feasible then at least minimize the house show appearances for the talent where you literally split the roster into 1/3 and make it where each section of the roster works house shows only 4 months a year.

I like the idea. Push Total Divas, NXT, and whatever other side-projects during the break and give the guys a chance to recover for a little while.

An off-season would have the opposite effect as the pressure not to miss the active months would increase, more people would wrestle with minor injuries which could aggravate them and turn them into more serious long-term injuries. There's also good chance that they'd take more risks and push themselves further to make the most of less TV time. You'd also have the problem of bad timing, some poor guy being injured for months and returning just in time for the off-season. Many of the recent 6-9 month injuries would become a full year. Finally it's worth noting other sports have off-seasons and still suffer freak injury lists. For example Liverpool have had something like 40 injuries since August.

Well sure the schedule does play at least a moderate role in all these injuries, with so many shoulder injuries it's gotta have a lot to do with the Olympic powerlifting that is en vogue at the performance center. No matter how strong you are, there is just so much wear and tear with such heavy lifts.

I think that a better idea will be to rotate the roster, like, you can only wrestle 9 months and you had 3 obligatory months to heal yourself, this way you can also keep people fresh.
The problem will be that most guys couldn't support 3 months without pay, unless the company finds a way to pay them while their recovery

I believe Less is More. Everybody wrestling every week/ house-show is an old concept.
I'm not paid enough to come up with all the WWE's solutions. They can PM me if they want to change that.

I think the best way to do it is to stagger talent, like mentioned, but still have folks work during their "off-season." For instance, make folks have a few months down at the performance center either training the younger guys or learning some of the ins and outs of being an agent, timing matches, etc. The more well-rounded and familiar talent is with the ins and outs of the production end of things, the better they'll be when it's time to get back in the ring. While they're gone, they could also do the sitdowns with Michael Cole that explain what they've been doing, their goals when they return, etc.
The only problem with this is that you need two "main draws" and right now they're lucky that Roman is carrying (with great McMahon support) things.

I came up with this listening to CM Punk's "shoot" with Colt Cabana. Since Vince will beg people back if they are gone too long 4 non consecutive weeks off during the year for each wrestler where they get paid what they would have if they worked the show (non PPV dates of course if the name is big enough) Would help wrestlers take a mental break once in a while

It's a minefield though.
I can't imagine WWE maintaining levels of pay for guys who are not performing, and thus not bringing in money through live shows etc
I can't imagine guys happy to sit back on a reduced salary for 4 months or whatever, the truth is they'd be wrestling on the indies within the first week and getting hurt there instead
The key to injuries is the relaxation of the 'work yourself like a horse' attitude that exists amongst the place

Or the WWE could just pay everyone a fair salary instead of having a model where people get ridiculous bonuses for I'm already being ridiculous, sorry.
