I've only heard of a few of those songs, and from the sounds of the others, I don't have any interest in hearing the rest.

My ratings. As I'm old (37) and bitter. I didn't bother to listen to any modern music, because it sucks and the music from when I was young was clearly better (80's... Sad I know).
10. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring. 9. It's ok I guess. 8. *sigh* Chris Brown again. You know he isn't special...at all. There loads of guys who look like him and sound like him. Give one of them a push. 7. Its ok. You'd listen to it in the car on the way to work. 6. I actually liked this song. I thought it was funny. 5. Wasn't this the song everyone was saying was the worst ever? 4. Crap. 3. This song was playing the other day while I was getting a subway sandwich. No honey, your not. If I get that kinda money, I'll have 5 of you on each arm and throw out the ones that turn 23. Like a guy with common sense would. 2. Its ok. don't mind this one at all. But my fight song is: Joe Esposito - You're The Best Around. Go Daniel sun! Or I'm sorry! I thought this was America! Either way. 1. Its not great, but it would be ok once in a wHile.

Not watched yet, but judging by the list, I'm with him on this one. I've only heard about half the list, but 9, 7, 6, and 2 are all indeed quite insufferable.

Why is Todd still a thing? I really wish the "most modern music sucks" mentality would just die off already, because the quality of the Top 40 has vastly improved so much over the past few years.
Maybe that's just wishful thinking, I dunno. Or maybe I'm just an idiot.

Can't argue too much with his list... (though some of the songs I've never heard of) and I'd probably move some off if I was making a list... and Watch me would probably have been my number 2... because that song is physically painful. Why is Todd still a thing? I really wish the "most modern music sucks" mentality would just die off already, because the quality of the Top 40 has vastly improved so much over the past few years. Maybe that's just wishful thinking, I dunno. Or maybe I'm just an idiot. He has stated multiple times he doesn't hate pop music even in this video he says that 2015 was a good year for music and was a massive improvement over 2014. In the video he says he likes the song but just wanted to call Beiber a douche which is why it's not on the list proper.

The start of the video is Todd talking about how he can't wait to get to the Best Of list, that this year's worst of was tough to make because he didn't hate a lot this year. He even said it was a much better year than last year. And I agree, Top 40 radio is awesome now. So many different personalities. I can't remember such a diverse group of artists.

Same Old Love and Bad Blood are awesome in my opinion. I'm not sure I've ever heard Same Old Love, but I honestly don't get the praise heaped on "Bad Blood". The whole song just sounds....awkward, like it was metered out by someone that doesn't really understand rhythm.

Also, he only does top 40 (or in the case of his top 10's the Billboard Year End Top 100) songs. It's not like he's praising *random indy band that sounds weak but thinks they have great lyrics o back it up* while doing this. He goes by the tops and stands by the tops. Heck, when he gets to the top hit songs of 2015, expect to see a lot of modern pop acts. Not like he has much to chose aside from that.

Because many people like to watch him, he does way more positive reviews lately, his one hit Wonderland reviews are great, his Cinemadonna reviews are funny. Plus he talked about in this review he hated doing this list because 2015 was a great year for music and he couldn't think of too many bad songs on the top of his head.

He didn't even say it was a bad song. Just kind of put it in there for the lulz

Yeah, Todd actually tends to be one of the more fair reviewers on Channel Awesome. Don't get me wrong, when he hates something, he HATES it, but he tends to be way more fair about stuff that's "only just okay".

Todd is at least still fair when it comes to his music reviews, but his actions on Twitter the past year really aggravated me. I'll probably still check this and his Best of lists, but other than that I'm not giving him more clicks.

...I haven't watched the video to hear his reasoning, but Girl Crush wasn't that bad. I'm pretty sure Sam Hunt had 1-2 songs come out this year that were way worse...

Girl Crush is a good song, why so many have trouble understanding it is beyond me.
Yes Fight Song is generic but it's hardly flat-out bad.

Todd thinks it's much better for a song to be shit but memorable then it is for a song to be medicore but boring and offering absolutely nothing to feel about it. Like in 2013 when Roar topped his worst of list as he just found the song to be utterly devoid of merit and not even interestingly bad. EDIT: Which is actually kinda what he felt about Marvin Gaye, it's not even interesting in how bad it is. It's a boring song about sex that is sung by two people who don't even come across like they have even gotten to third base before.

That Marvin Gaye song...
What the hell, haha? That shit sounds like a joke. "Hey, let's make the most unsexy song we can possibly think of and name it after the sexual god himself! Name dropping songs that are sexy is all that is needed to make a sexy song, right?"
Awful. Awful awful awful. As for Todd himself, I like him. He's really never been the kind of critic that just shits on stuff for the sake of shitting on it. He's disliked plenty of songs that I personally like but he always explains himself well enough to where I can at least understand where he's coming from if I personally like the song. He's a funny dude that seems knowledgeable about what he's talking about and that's all I ask for from reviewers.

Yeah and they take the song in a Doo-wop direction for some reason... which to me makes it sound like they have only heard Marvin Gaye's name and the title of some of his songs.
