Stretch Armstrong
Always wanted it, never got it. Until I was an adult, then my mum finally bought me one... it broke after 5 minutes.

Despite the mistakes I made later in my life, I honestly can't say that I wanted for anything. My parents spoiled the hell out of me. Christmas especially was my mom's favorite holiday (which I can't really enjoy much since she died) and she used to light up at me discovering all of my "Santa" presents on Christmas morning which would basically consist of any toy I'd asked for during the year and not gotten yet. Looking back, I feel bad that I didn't appreciate it more being as we weren't rich or anything. I even remember them going out on Christmas Eve the year the original Xbox came out to pick one up for me along with a few games, which also introduced me to Halo and Elder Scrolls (based off the Gamestop employee's recommendation.)
Shit...this really made me miss my mom.

I forget what company that made it, but in the late 80s there was a line of battery operated squirt guns that looked like real guns. I had the one that looked like an M-16/AR-15, but always wanted the one that looked like an RPG.

Woody and Buzz after the original Toy Story. "Short-sighted retailers did not order enough dolls to meet demand". Boy you said it Barbie.

The Turtle Blimp. No matter how much I begged, I just convince my parents s to buy it for me. All my Turtle adventures were land and water based. Exactly what I came in here to post.

the pee wee's playhouse playset, i wanted that so badly as a kid, mom could never find them in the stores. ditto the jack skeleton in his regular black attire, i got santa jack as there were plenty of those to be found.
...also the statue of liberty from the real ghostbusters, however i found out a few years back that toy was never made it was only made for the commercial! i thought it was a playset to tie into ghostbusters 2 and i wanted it so so badly!

The only one I can really remember is some Spider-Man play-set that involved some kind of web slinging function (IIRC). I asked for it for Christmas and while I did get a Spider-Man with included Spider Tank, it just wasn't the same.

Really wanted these Lego castles: But I got these sets (one isnt even a castle!): I suspect it was because the sets I wanted were from an older line that I'd seen in a catalogue from some clearance sets and couldnt be bought any more
