And how was it? I went to the Museum of Science in Boston last month. I've been there plenty before, but not for years. I had a blast! I'm looking for a new museum to go to on a Saturday. Ideally one that's open in the evenings in or around Boston. If anyone has any ideas feel free to let me know of one

Philadelphia Museum of Art. Love it there and was the first time going there for my girlfriend. She loved the Rodin statues.

I have no idea lol. I went by the Peabody museum a few weeks ago, when I got my mom lost on the way to visiting my aunt in the hospital

The Brooklyn Historical Society. Had some fun exhibitions about the NHL's Brooklyn Americans and the New York City Sewer System.
I'm looking to get back to the Museum of Natural History soon. With the membership I got with my NYCID card it's now free and I want to see the new Titanosaur exhibit.

If it's something different I might have to look into getting one. Hopefully I'll finally be moving back to NYC in May/June. I've been hoping to get back since I left in 2011 though so who knows...

National World War I Museum in Kansas City. Pretty standard as far as exihbits are concerned (admittedly, not a history buff in the first place), but the exterior was really nice and elaborate. I was compelled to pay for an entrance ticket based on how much effort it looked like was put in to its construction.
Among other museums I recently visited, I really liked the Newseum in Washington, DC.

^ | | Love the Newseum. Wish it was cheaper though you do get your money's worth. As for me, I saw the Vanderbilt mansion today. Still prefer Springwood

Marysville Bushfire Mueseam
The small town was pretty much wiped out during the 2009 bushfires. A small Mueseam has been set up at the tourist center to help bring awareness and funds to the town.

The Edinburgh National Museum in Scotland back in September. It was pretty cool. My favorite thing about that place is the Celtic Crosses made out of stone. Before that, I was at the British Museum in London. That place was freaking awesome!

The Pennsylvania Coin-Operated Gaming Hall of Fame and Museum. It's basically a giant old school arcade that you pay a flat 20 bucks and play all the video games and pinball you want for 2 hours.
I'd move in if I could.

Well first of all, I had it backwards in my original post, it's technically called the IDNYC Card. It's basically a non-drivers identification card that shows residency in New York City. It was designed for NYC residence who don't technically qualify for other forms of ID like a driver's license so they could have an official identification when communicating with officials like the police. That said, in 2015 signing up for one also qualified you for one year sample memberships at certain city cultural institutions like the Museum of Natural History, Rockefeller Center, the various Zoo's, etc. I think you can also use it to get discounts on movie tickets. So even though I had other ID's I still signed up for it. I believe most of those cultural institution offers expired on New Years though, so if you didn't sign up already you're gonna have to pay to see Titanosaur.

I live a five-minute walk away from the Royal Ontario Museum. I go there pretty often.
Outside of that, I was at the MoMA in the summer.

We went to Nashville not that long ago and went through the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Johnny Cash Museum, and the George Jones Museum.
The Country Music Hall of Fame is outstanding if you're a fan of old/traditional/REAL Country music. And I love Johnny Cash and George Jones, so those were definitely worth the money and time.
We're hoping to go to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta on Valentine's Day. I can't wait.

I went on a tour of Jet Propulsion Laboratory with my son last month. That included their Museum of Space.
