That's right, it's Monday night again and the gang's all here... That means it's time for another installment of Monday Night RAW. This week, we are LIVE from Columbus, Ohio, and with only six days until the Royal Rumble, that means two things... One, the superstars are jockeying for those final few positions in what is in 2016 a WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match and two, this will be the last RAW for a few months without a big WrestleMania sign in the background (*points*).
Our lead angle tonight as this thread goes live will be the appearance of Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman on Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel, in what is sure to be a polarising segment. Both Lesnar and Jericho are returning to action specifically for the Rumble, and with The One Behind The One In 22-1 stirring the pot, it's sure to be a volatile situation. It's probably in Jericho's best interests to not be cracking wise around The Beast Incarnate. Look for this one to end in the traditional all-in go-home schmozz.
And the one man that all the people in that schmozz will be going after on Sunday will be the defending WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns. He's always been willing to take on whatever's thrown in front of him, but will The Authority have one more curveball in mind before the Rumble? Find out when this segment likely opens RAW.
One act that has been catching absolute fire in the last couple of weeks has been The Social Outcasts. A motley crew of lower card strugglers, their coming together under one hashtag has brought the kind of success that many of them hadn't seen in months, or even years. Will we see Slater, Rose and Dallas call their shot and join Axel in the Royal Rumble match?
In non-Rumble match matters, we're only a week away from what is sure to be a mighty Last Man Standing match between Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Championship. These two have been trading blows over the white belt for months now, but it almost looks like the end is in sight. Which one of The Lunatic Fringe or The Prize Fighter will get the upper hand before Sunday?
Last week, Kalisto pulled off a mighty shocker by defeating Alberto Del Rio for the United States Championship. But the reign of the Lucha Dragon was soul-crushingly short-lived after interference from League Of Nations ally King Barrett led to Del Rio winning it back on SmackDown. Could a tiebreaker between the two Latino talents be in the offing for the Royal Rumble?
With an assist from Chris Jericho, The Usos got a win over The New Day on RAW last week, and as cliche as it sounds, it probably means that a Tag Team Championship match is due for the facepainted brothers. Will that match be announced tonight, and more importantly, did Xavier Woods manage to save Francesca after she was horribly mutilated by Jericho?
Becky Lynch is riding a wave of momentum in the injury-ravaged Divas division, and people are taking notice. Last week on SmackDown, she threw down a challenge to her former ally Charlotte for a Divas Championship match at the Rumble, before easily disposing of Brie Bella. All indications are that she'll get her answer from Charlotte tonight.
All that, along with the likely return of the By The Numbers montage and MORE Excellence Rankings Points up for grabsies, TONIGHT on Monday Night RAW!
