I just saw a gif on Facebook that had Cena looking confused and bewildered while confetti rained down on him.
I know I saw it on a PPV (or maybe the end of Raw?) but I'll be damned if I can remember what it's from or why.
Help me out here.

The Authority appreciating Cena for giving them their jobs back and firing Ryback, Rowan & Ziggler I believe.

Was it from Raw last year when the Authority fired Ziggler, Rowan, and Ryback?

Not to mention having "Stars And Stripes Forever" playing in the background of it.

Not to mention having "Stars And Stripes Forever" playing in the background of it. And Steph doing an adorable dance while Trip looks like he's eyeing a steak.

This thread got me thinking about this segment again. I really wish they'd run with the idea of the Authority celebrating and lionizing Cena. Killing with kindness and getting in his head, rather than the usual cliche plots.
Make Cena the Authorities guy, whether he likes it or not. Have them praise him and push how he IS the face of the company and makes them so much money. If he's losing a match, one of the Authorities hired guys comes out and saves him. For the usual thrown together tags, they team him with their guys against faces. They don't acknowledge it as a plot, they just do it.
Hell, do it now to Roman.
