She could have done a midcard status run around the IC. Not saying it would have been great. Of course she wouldn't be as good as the Benoits and Jerichos, but in wrestling, when has booking ever been done based on realistic odds. We'd have seen her go over on more talented guys the same asmen with her ammount of ability have been booked as such. Again, not saying it would be good at all. "Chyna's Run on the Male Roster" would be a Wretlecrap article title. Unfortunate as it is, her being a female would probably make fans less accepting of her than some similarly talented hoss getting a push. And I have to reitterate, NOT in favor of this and glad it didn't happen. It seemed that when her muscle mass decreased and started to look more feminine, she was mainly in the women's division. She did not need to have another IC title reign. I still think it was ridiculous that she had one in 1999. She ended up with a second reign in Summer 2000 anyway. I've thought on this in the past and the best use of Chyna by that point could have been in the Tag division. Pairing her with a newcomer (and there were plenty that year) to use Chyna's star power to get the new guy over in the ring and with the audience as they develop their team on TV to make a run for the belts. Very similar to the Latino Heat pairing the year before only more of an in ring team than the Wrestler/Valet/Lovers dynamic that Eddie and Chyna employed a bit more in 2000.

There wasn't much of a division before she got let go, was there? And she'd pretty much squashed Trish and Lita in early 2001 (either just before or after WrestleMania) that even then, the idea of her wrestling them again seemed pointless.
She was booked very heavily to be superior to them all, and had already for a couple years been booked against men - an still-fairly-unheard of concept at the turn of the century.
Populating a womens' roster without her just made more sense. She was built up too much to make competition with them understandable. Thankfully, they got decent wrestlers in, and Trish was on an upswing regarding her performance & talent (she was not good at first, but really got better in 2001) and that was making her much more endearing to fans.

Oh right, I forgot all about that.

Unemployment line because far superior girls like Trish and Lita were getting really good really fast, Victoria came in not long after, and Chyna's whole gimmick of buff chick was old by that point anyway. I honestly never saw what was so great about Trish. Ever. This. An overrated butterface in her prime. She has aged well, but she never was anything near a GREAT WRESTLER. Same goes for Lita.

It's not like Chyna was some great talent in the ring either... she wasn't... and from what I remember she tried to wrestle in heels at one point which sure as hell didn't do her any favors. Nope. She was useless by that point. The only possible place for her was the women's division and she considered that beneath her. The Women's division WAS beneath Chyna. The only way they could've gone with it was to give her a monster run with the belt where she crushes everyone only to lose to someone like Lita in the end. That was more or less what they planned. Chyna didn't want to drop the Title to Lita which is why she disappeared with the belt.

If you have David Flair and Rob Terry you'd still rather push Rob Terry.

Never have the lyrics to a superstars music, reflected their booking so well
Don't treat me like a woman Don't treat me like a man Don't treat me like you know me Treat me for just who I am.

There would have been money in a long running feud with her and Trish, Victoria and Lita in their prime, as much as people put Chyna down as a person and her ring skills, she was one of the biggest stars of the Attitude era.
If she lasted long enough, Chyna eventually putting over Beth Phoenix in her debut would have went a long way in getting Beth over as the new dominant woman.

Molly Holly and Jazz would've made two more good foils for her in the Women's Division. Even Jaqueline was still there and doing nothing. They had bodies to work with, I guess Chyna just got impatient.

I imagine she would've been one of those WWF people who nonsensically joined the Alliance during the InVasion before losing the Women's title to Trish during the six-pack challenge at Survivor Series.
After that, I have no idea.

After that, I have no idea. Team Alliance: Booker T, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chyna (Replacing Shane McMahon) vs. Team WWF: Rock, Undertaker, Kane, Jericho, Big Show Actually, I can see that work, because in storyline, Chyna did hate everyone except Big Show the last few years.
