And Renault botch a pit stop big time, leaving Palmer with only three wheels.

Trouble for Palmer in the pits, his car tried leaving with only 3 wheels.
Mercs are in to switch tyres.

Palmer getting investigated for that unsafe pit release.
He gets a 10 second stop/go penalty.

Alonso somehow managed to get himself out of the gravel after losing it on the first corner.
And now it's all going on!

Lots of drivers spinning at Turn 1, polished off by Haryanto retiring from the race from one.

Even Hamilton and Verstappen get caught out by it.

Rosberg with a late gearbox problem, possibly. This could be the championship lead if it gets much worse.

Rosberg in trouble with some technical issue. A problem with 7th gear, wonder if they'll get in trouble for the information given over the radio.

Hamilton wins his home race for the third straight year, and he's right back in this championship after a slow start to the season.

Red Bull said to Verstappen that they're under investigation for it... Man, that rule is some kind of bullshit. Agreed. You don't want the drivers getting told every little detail, but the drivers aren't engineers and it shouldn't be an issue to let them know how to keep the car going. Hamilton wins, Rosberg second (for now) and another good result for Verstappen in third. A (very) slow start ended up being an enjoyable race, the only thing that could have improved it would be a bit of rain towards the end. Young Max is absolutely going to be a future world champion, any team would snap him up if they had the chance.

Boos for Rosberg on the podium this time.
Somebody's going to lose an eye with that constructors trophy.
I've just realised all the trophies are spikey, but they dig out the big gold one for the winner.

Rosberg takes a 10 second penalty for the radio thing, so that promotes Verstappen to second.

Josef Newgarden laid an ass whooping on the rest of the field at Iowa, leading 282 of 300 laps on his way to victory. Jumps to 2nd in the championship, 73 points behind leader Simon Pagenaud.

Red Bull said to Verstappen that they're under investigation for it... Man, that rule is some kind of bullshit. Apparently, due to this rule Force India weren't able to tell Sergio Perez that his brakes were failing. Thankfully he only spun off and didn't crash. I thought that teams could instruct the driver over the radio if the car was in trouble and putting them in danger, but apparently not...
