Wow, Dale Jr will not race this weekend due to concussion like symptoms. Alex Bowman will be in his car this weekend.
Wow if its a concussion isn't that like the third or fourth one he's had?

Oh Wow, if Jr isn't cleared to race at Indy Next Weekend, Jeff Gordon will drive the 88.

Matt Kenseth won this past weekend's NSCS race but failed post race inspection.

It's official: Jeff Gordon will drive the 88 at The Brickyard. Gonna be weird seeing him in a car other than the 24.

A few bits and pieces before today's Hungary qualifying There are new rules regarding radio transmissions: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/36855566Basically, if the team wants to tell the driver how to fix the car, it has to come into the pits. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/36848200Sauber's financial problems look to be over for the time being as they've been taken over by a Swiss group. Peter Sauber has stepped down but the Sauber name is staying. In practice 2 yesterday, Hamilton spun off and had quite a solid hit against the barriers. He managed to drive back to the pits but you have to wonder if that's going to cause any problems in the race. It appears that the stewards will be keeping a close eye on track limits this weekend.

Half hour to go and the weather has decided to make things interesting, it's going to be a wet qualifying.

Qualifying is finally getting underway 20 minutes late but the track is still very wet and more rain is on the way.

Good, they're actually letting the children out to play in the rain for once.

Session has been stopped for the time being. Perez currently on provisional pole, but they should be out later on if the weather clears up.

If we don't get started again, that would make an interesting grid.

Ericsson with another big crash in a pre-race session. Big test for that new Sauber budget.

Just wondering, is there a time limit for the total qualifying sessions like there is for the race or will they make an effort to get all 3 sessions in?

Now Massa has binned the Williams in the wall.

Just wondering, is there a time limit for the total qualifying sessions like there is for the race or will they make an effort to get all 3 sessions in? I don't think there is. I've had a quick scout around and there's nothing obvious saying otherwise. Trying to remember similar situations in the past, I think they'll give it as long as they can to try and get it done. Another red flag due to Massa crashing.

Haven't seen this many red flags enter Hungary since about 1943-44.

And ANOTHER red flag. Haryanto off the track at the same place as Ericsson.

Hey, guess what? It's a red flag due to Haryanto.
The sessions basically done now.

Raikonnen out in Q2 and Hamilton only just sneaks through. Both McLarens make it through.
