I know the season's not over yet, but where do you all think Smoke's retirement tour falls on a scale from Darrell Waltrip to Mark Martin? Mark Martin I was sad to see go. He was probably the last remaining competitor from my childhood that I remembered fondly. Tony Stewart on the other hand? Meh, there's the door. Get out. Stewart has a slim chance to win the championship. You never know. Who would've thought he would win five of 10 Chase races and tie in points with Edwards but win on the tiebreaker. That was the greatest come from behind victory in the history of NASCAR, maybe even all of sports. Mark Martin was so close to the championship and the 500 so many times. I was sad to see him retire without one or three other. Darrell Waltrip, while a great driver, has always irritated the hell out of me.

I was young when DW was at his peak, so I didn't really understand how much people thought he was an asshole. And I'm not going to let their opinion of him change my mind. Tony, on the other hand, I'm conflicted about. His first love is Dirt Track Winged Sprint racing. And I love the hell out of him for that. But I also get that he drives like a dick in the Stock Cars. And I'd be a hypocrite to give Tony a pass while I hate Joey Logano with every fiber of my being. But on the other hand, I don't care if it makes me a hypocrite. F*** Joey Logano.

Just as an aside, here's a picture of a model someone made of the car that the person I'm related to drove...

Almost time for the Singapore GP. Rosberg on pole, Ricciardo joins him at the front of the grid, and Hamilton starts third.

Away we go!
Hulkenberg crashes right off the start and a safety car is needed.

I don't know who got their timing wrong with the end of that safety car, but that could have been horrific.
Sainz gets a Black and Orange flag to come in and fix the part that's hanging off his car.

There's going to be contact between Verstappen and Kvyat if they keep this up.

Ricciardo is screaming home, eating seconds out of Rosberg's lead every lap... Can he pass him before the end, though?

Rosberg retakes the lead in the drivers championship with 6 races to go. It might actually end up going to the final race.
Decent result for Ferrari with Kimi in 4th and Vettel making his way from the back to finish in 5th.

Truex Jr. wins in Chicago and will advance to the round of 12. Not so fast! He and Jimmie both failed post race inspection.

Simon Pagenaud wins the race in Sonoma and the 2016 IndyCar championship. Team Penske had the top three finishers in the championship with Will Power 2nd and Helio Castroneves 3rd.

Nascar is holding a press conference in about 15 minutes. What it's about is not known.
