Nascar is undoing the new rules and undoing the penalties from this last post race inspection. Will get rid if the P2 and p3 penalties, only p4 remains.
Maybe? Hard to.tell. P2 and 3 level penalties for post race are gone, only 4 remains, all Chase cars must go.through post race.
Okay I think the lug nut and laser inspection rules introduced as a P4 penalty stay, what the previous P2 and P3 level penalties/rules were are no longer in the book. This is to give the teams some wiggle room in post race inspection.

So, the racing season ended for me today. Last week was the final points race, and I finished 6th in points for Top ET, and Dad finished 9th, so not too bad of a year. Today, I went 5 rounds, losing in the 2nd round by a red light by .003. Then I used my mulligan and lost in the 5th against one of my best friends.
I had a .0009 light (Perfect light = .000), he had a .017 light. I ran a 7.49 on a 7.47 (only running 1/8 mile due to high winds today), and he ran 4.99 on a 4.99. MOV: .003.
Even though I was unable to come away with an Event Win this year, I felt that the year was very successful. Before the season started my focus was Operation: Attack the Tree.
I felt that past two years, I lost a lot of confidence in myself as a racer, and I felt that most of it was due to my poor reaction times. So I focused on getting that back on track, and I felt it was quite successful for this season.
So now I'm confident for the 2017 season, as I work towards Track Championship No. 7. However, I will enjoy this little break known as the offseason. The body gets sore after a long day of racing, and it's nice to have time off to recharge the batteries.

Radioactive from Loudon.
I know I've said it before, so I apologize if I sound like a broken record, but they need to ditch this restart zone bullshit. Line 'em up, go when the flag drops. If its so damn important that the leader takes the flag first, then go back to single-file restarts.

Surprisingly, it looks like Magnussen's car will be taking part in practice 2 in Malaysia after what was a slightly ridiculous situation in practice 1.
He came into the pits, and got out the car sharpish when it caught fire. The next 20 minutes consisted of the mechanics repeatedly extinguishing it as every time they did so, some more fuel came out the top and was ignited. It was like one of those trick candles until they finally got the fuel drained out of it.

A few minutes to go until the start of the Malaysian GP. As well as being Button's 300th race, it's probably going to be where Mercedes wrap up the Constructors' title for this year.
Massa doesn't get off the grid for the warm up lap, he's getting wheeled into the pits to see if they can sort it.

I guess we're going to see if Rosberg is as handy as Hamilton when it comes to making his way back up through the field. He's 14th on lap 6.

Grosjean ends up about as far in the gravel as its possible to be, he's out. Replay looks like something broke.

Gutierrez stops because he only has 3 wheels on his car.
It's all going on for the last part of the race.
It's looking like a Red Bull 1-2, and with the way they were going for it earlier this should be good.

Ricciardo wins, Verstappen second, and Rosberg does enough to finish in third ahead of Kimi.
Button scores points on his 300th race and Palmer scores his first points.
Mercedes are going to have to wait a week for the constructors' title.
Rosberg extends his lead in the drivers' championship to 23 points.

Excited for Martin Truex, Jr. Since Dale Jr.'s been out with a concussion, Truex and Elliot have taken over the spot of my favorite drivers. Shame for Kyle, Jamie, and Chris. They were doing pretty well. As for Tony?..... Nah nah nah nah.
Nah nah nah nah.
Hey hey hey.

I've had a bit more time on my hands recently, and with this being Tony Stewart's last season before retirement I decided to put together my own tribute to the great man. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIquxo8klQE
