I've had a bit more time on my hands recently, and with this being Tony Stewart's last season before retirement I decided to put together my own tribute to the great man. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIquxo8klQENicely made. Not gonna lie, I was waiting for the nWo theme to kick in and get some not-so-highlights of Tony.

We're about ready to go racing in Japan. Nico on pole, Lewis is second and they're followed by the Red Bulls.

After 15 laps Hamilton has woken up and is starting to make his move.

Vettel really isn't happy about people not getting out the way when shown the blue flag.

Keeping an eye on the finish of the Bathurst 1000 here... Been an insane few laps, with the current leader on track a non-factor as he's subject to a time penalty for causing a crash late in the race, and there's not enough laps for him to make up the difference with sheer speed.

Rosberg wins and increases his lead in the drivers championship. Hamilton managed to get back up to 3rd behind Verstappen.
Mercedes claims the Constructors' title again.

And your Bathurst 1000 winners in 2016 are Will Davison and Jonathan Webb in a thriller!
Unbelievably, with the way the time penalty for Jamie Whincup/Paul Dumbrell has worked out, they've won it without leading a single lap.

Bad race from an 'I want Hamilton to win the title' perspective (something which is now gone, no way he will close 33pts on an imperious Nico in 4 races) but a fantastic one from an entertainment perspective. First half of the race, in particular, was really fun and the last few laps with Hamilton chasing down Verstappen were enthralling. Well worth setting my alarm for 5:55am for.

That is the good thing about these last tier of races of the season for us US fans, a lot of the races are at reasonable* hours as opposed to waking up early in the morning. *assuming you are a night owl. I for one rather stay up late than wake up early.

I for one rather stay up late than wake up early. It actually works out pretty well for me too since 3 of the last 4 races fall on my weekend in work BUT 2 of them are on at a later time than usual (Mexico & Brazil) so I'll be able to get home in time to see them (might miss the first 20 minutes or so of Brazil). Which (with the US being on my weekend off) means of the four I'll only miss Abu Dhabi and if the title race had been close I'd have just whacked in a day of holiday for that one. So despite my love of the standard 1pm BST/GMT start time I'm quite happy with the schedule for the rest of the season.

Harvick has engine issues and at the same time, Logano slaps the wall. Business is picking up!

We're almost ready for F1 in the US. Hamilton on pole, Rosberg in second and they're followed by the Red Bulls and then the Ferraris.
4 races to go (including today), Rosberg leads Hamilton in the championship by 33 points.

Raikkonen (well, Ferrari) under investigation for releasing a car in an unsafe condition with what looks like a wheel not being on properly.
