All righty, I'm putting my neck on the block and trying to predict a WM card amidst a roster stricken by injury to many of its top talents, a lack of momentum for many others and one guy who just can't seem to get over the hump despite the company's best efforts. Here goes...
---
TOP MATCHES/MAIN EVENT CANDIDATES
Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship:
Triple H (c) v Roman Reigns v Dean Ambrose
I think they'll take the cowardly option and go with a shady draw finish at Fastlane to set this one up, thus protecting the match from Reigns being the massive crowd heel and Triple H somehow being the crowd face. Lesnar's a non-factor here, as they'll probably set up the Wyatt thing at Fastlane. In terms of who wins here, it almost certainly ain't gonna be Triple H. Ambrose has got a shitload of momentum, the crowd on his side and no longer has the IC belt holding him down to another match on the card, but Reigns still has the wrestling media calling him winning this one, if not winning it one-on-one against good ol' Hunter. Do they go for the popular finish for the third year straight? Or do they finally grow a pair and follow through with their grand coronation, come hell or high water?
---
Beasts And Buzzards Collide:
Brock Lesnar v Bray Wyatt
Deus Ex Wyatt strikes again to take another WM loss, it seems. Could lead to a fun brawl and some great promos between Heyman and Wyatt, but it's hard to get hyped for this when you've got the last two WMs showing that Wyatt will just be taking the L here. If Wyatt doesn't end up as the opponent, then it'd be common sense to run with Lesnar v Ambrose given their well-received interactions for the Fastlane #1 Contender match, but then they're still exposing Reigns in the WM title match.
---
The Dream Match That Almost Never Happened:
The Undertaker v John Cena
I know what you're thinking... Cena's got that shoulder injury, right? True, but I think he's cuckoo enough in the head to rehab himself with those freaky Weapon X powers and get himself passed fit for this one match before continuing the recovery from there. F***ed if I know who wins, but Undertaker will be the overwhelming crowd favourite in what could possibly be his farewell WrestleMania. On the likely chance that Cena DOESN'T get cleared, then I haven't the damndest idea of who fights Undertaker. Lesnar's been done. Wyatt's been done. Ambrose would be awesome, but they might still need him to "protect" Reigns. And Reigns himself is unlikely given he'd probably get more heel heat than Cena here. If they weren't likely doing this six man tag at Fastlane, I'd have been down for Taker's Titans v The Wyatt Family is some kind of hardcore match (Those eight in WarGames would be sick, but that would never happen).
---
MIDCARD MATCHES
Intercontinental Championship Match:
Kevin Owens (c) v AJ Styles
The IC title match was all set to involve Ambrose, with his early opponent possibly being Jericho based on their interaction on a PPV last year. But now, Ambrose hasn't got the belt. Owens does again. Unless he wins it back between now and WM, Ambrose is a non-factor here. A lot of people would be calling Zayn as the opponent here to cap off their long-running feud, but he's set to be otherwise occupied through his NXT duties... Enter one AJ Styles. This would be the perfect spot for him to slot into, in a showcase match against another top prospect of the future, as a capper to the rebuild job this belt has slowly undergone since the now retired Daniel Bryan won it this time last year. Look for Styles to claim his first WWE gold here.
---
Divas Championship Match:
Charlotte (c) v Sasha Banks v Becky Lynch
This is what the revolution has built to, despite taking the "Itchy And Scratchy Land shortcut" to get there. Your three newer talents getting the spotlight on the biggest stage. Banks would be the smart man's favourite, but Lynch could possibly be the sentimental one. The only reason that this one doesn't get up is not to back up on the other Triple Threat match later in the night, and in that case, Banks would probably get the nod over Lynch.
---
Cosmic Grudge Match:
Stardust v Stephen Amell
This one suddenly became a thing again a few days ago, but you know how these go by now. Wrestler builds it up for the celebrity to take the W on Big Match Sunday. Might lead into the abandonment of the Stardust gimmick.
---
LOWER CARD MATCHES/PRE-SHOW CANDIDATES
Multi-Man Clusterf*** Match for the United States Championship:
Kalisto (c) v Three to seven names of your choice
Depending on what they do with The New Day in terms of getting them onto the main card (main card segment and pre show match or main card match), this one could either squeeze onto the main card or get bumped to the pre-show. If you want seven names from me as opponents to fight each other in tags and singles over the course of March to build this one up, they are... Neville, Ziggler, Jericho, Del Rio, Rusev, Sheamus and Miz. This will probably involve a ladder or five. Winner? Take your pick.
---
Tag Team Championship Match:
The New Day (c) v The Usos v The Dudley Boyz v Goldust/R-Truth
Normally this would be set to go on YouTube, but with The New Day being one of the critical highlights of the WM-to-WM season, they deserve more than just being on YouTube again. That said, it could be possible that they end up just having a promo segment on the main card in lieu of this match being on there. Can't see them not retaining here... Although, with this segment with Edge and Christian set for Fastlane, it could be setting up a "Screw you old Canadians" three way TLC match without Golden Truth...
---
Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal:
Everyone else, except Titus O'Neil
This is Braun Strowman's to lose by all reports, and honestly that's fine. A big push over the spring and summer could give the match the credibility it needs after they didn't follow through with Cesaro's momentum after winning it and wasted it on Big Show last year.
