Was it announced before that EVOLVE will run a show called the WWE Cruiserweight Classic Flashpoint, on June 11th in Orlando? It was mentioned in the description for the TJP/Yehi match. Does this mean we get a New 52 WWE Universe

Kota Ibushi wants to "research pro wrestling in the biggest and best wrestling company in the world" and "is interested in WWE Cruiserweight Classic", per Enuhito.

I thought Ibushi was already confirmed He's definitely expressed interest publicly before this, but until WWE themselves confirm that he's in, I can only list him as a rumoured entry.

A name that's actually getting a bit of buzz at the moment for a possible entry into this is Cedric Alexander. He's apparently leaving Ring Of Honor after Saturday night's War Of The Worlds show in New York, and is already scheduled for a match at WWE-affiliated EVOLVE in the future, so he's a big chance at getting a spot in the Cruiserweight Classic now.
He's apparently billed at 209, so he's over the nominal weight limit, but close enough to it where they could stretch things a bit and just say he's 205. *shrug*

He apparently really impressed everyone at his WWE tryout, too.

Serious cutters can do that no problem. If I fast then hit the gym in one day if I wake up at 209 I can easily be 205 the next morning. And I'm not exactly a pro athlete or a serious cutter. This is all pretty irrelevant though since WWE has never cared about billing weights drastically different from reality anyway.

I thought the Cruiserweight weight limit was 215, it's 205?

I thought the Cruiserweight weight limit was 215, it's 205? I figure it's because a lot of top guys who are in the World Title scene are around the 215~230 pound range (and Daniel Bryan was billed at 190), so this gives WWE more of a gap between the "Heavyweights" and "Cruiserweights".

Just as an aside, I kind of wish they'd stop calling every tournament a "classic".
Especially since you can't have a "Cruiserweight Classic" without former Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Classic.

Jut watched these, and Perkins was the only one to advance via pinfall. Everyone else won by submission. Don't think it means anything, just an observation.

A lot of indy guys are starting to be more and more influenced with the mat based style and fancy submissions. I think a lot of that has to do with the UK indy scene being hot as hell especially with ICW and PROGRESS. But even in the US I'm starting to notice more and more indy guys trying to to do what Zack Sabre Jr does in the ring rather than being the stereo types of flippy guys or fake strong style. Also fun fact, the 4 guys involved in the EVOLVE matches are actually stable mates in Catch Point.

The Evolve qualifiers were great. I really like Catch Point, especially TJP.

Not confirmed yet, but I've heard rumors that CZW, CHIKARA, and AIW may be having qualifiers coming up.
