I guess Triple H is really trying to recreate the mid-90s WCW feel with the side entrance in a small venue. The real swerve that the finals take place in Atlanta at Center Stage. Is that true? I read recently that NXT WOULD run Center Stage. Is it for the finals of this? Would make them even more epic. As long as it still sort of looks like it did back then.

If NXT do run Center Stage, I want the following names: Atlanta Takeover-NXT Saturday Night or NXT Takeover-World Championship Wrestling

Was just wondering about Jack Evans, even though his Lucha Underground contract won't allow it. He would have been an incredible acquisition for this. Yes he has had attitude problems in the past but he has been a cornerstone of US indy high flyers since the early 2000's and then went and made his stamp in Mexico as part of AAA. You can't deny how much of an impact he has had in his weight class since his debut and how innovative he always has been, from Generation Next to modern day super shit talking heel

Hmmm, only problem with that is that a contracted guy would have to win it, spoiling the tension a bit.

That was something that was supposedly mentioned during the NXT tapings, so with all the people there live doing spoilers for those over Twitter, I'd think there'd be a lot more confirmation if it were actually true.

There was a commercial on the WWE Network for this last night, but I haven't seen it anywhere online yet. Heard they used the footage from all the qualifying matches.

From what I saw of Extreme Rules, they gave it a plug on commentary and included it in their "Coming Soon on WWE Network" montage, but only with generic graphics and no footage of the actual participants or qualifying matches. EDIT: Maybe one shot of Jack Gallagher from the crowd, but that's about it.

Isn't this starting like real soon? and we only have so many guys announced? We're about four weeks away from the first taping on June 23. Then, WWE tapes matches on July 14, August 26, and September 14. The Classic premieres on WWE Network on July 13.

They announce 3 more guys and then make the 16 they have wrestle under a mask (or without a mask) as another guy to fill out the rest of the slots.

I know it's basically a given that he'll be involved in this, but Kota Ibushi is working for W-1 in August, which means he probably doesn't plan on signing afterwards, at least not immediately.
