"He's not as bad as he was!" ain't exactly something to crow about/or a real compliment to him. I don't mind the dude, but in any box you wanna tick, he's OK. That's it. There's no shame in merely being an ok, utilitarian dude. But at the same time, if we're not acting like he's terrible, let's ALSO not act like the guy is anything special in any category. He's alright. But trumpeting him not being terrible just smacks of:  I say he's not as bad as he was because I do believe that him improving from the days where he actually WAS the drizzling shits should be commended to some extent. It always bugged me how WWE mishandled him by calling him up before he was ready, and then never capitalizing on what overness he had when he actually started to become decent. Yes, here's nothing wrong with being okay, but no one seems to be willing to admit he's even that anymore. |

^I feel like I won't be able to enjoy his work if enough people don't like him. This isn't like someone like Reigns or Del Rio where WWE are going to move heaven and earth to make fetch happen regardless of how good or how over they are, this is someone busting his ass to get over enough to just so he can stay employed. While I admit, that I may take Riley hate too personally, a good chunk of the Riley-hate tends to be people taking Riley's erratic behavior too personally; If he so much as tweets the number 4, a thread or a news story pops up about what a f***head he is, as if people are waiting for things to jump on him about.

If I reacted to every negative comment about one of my favorites as you do Alex Riley, I wouldn't survive the week. And my faves include Ryback, Triple H, and Alicia Fox. Think about that for a second. |

The forum needs a butt-monkey, and there was a mandated stoppage of Sweatsock jokes. Alex Riley's return lined up perfectly with that. He's also fun to rip on because of the way he comes off personality-wise, he's the type that will get pissed and argue with you but have no good retorts, and may even give you more ammo. The opposite of Kevin Owens, who will destroy you with 1 sentence and block you forever. And he's not all-time terrible as a wrestler, but with the roster the way it is now he brings nothing to the table. He's a Power Plant rookie who could be a jacked up jobber or part of a jacked up jobber tag team. He should post a Craigslist ad "Robbie Rage looking for Kenny Kaos".

As somebody who didn't watch WWE when he was pushed as Miz's lackey - whats the big deal with him? Asthetically he looked so generic - like you could have replaced him for anyone else on the roster. If nowadays being a douchebag HHHalike works for him, then fair enough but he seems pretty replaceable. I'm struggling to understand the extreme love/hate for the guy when he just seems so blah.

I'm a big fan of Kane and I thought The Local Men meme was hilarious and I didn't mind when he is one of this forums most hated wrestlers this past decade. I don't mind when some of my favorite posters shit on him. People take things way to keep personally and take fandoms and popular opinions and shit way to seriously. With that being said I'm sad Kane isn't main eventing Wrestlemania against Triple H this year
