This wouldn't have gained traction if someone didn't post it on Twitter. Now Maxxine is getting some really messed up and sexist comments.

Screaming “don’t come back!” is kinda harsh but fans trashing on bad wrestlers has always been a thing. If she’s not ready to be out there then she shouldn’t be out there. If bad crowd reaction is that big a deal for her then she really shouldn’t be out there yet. The point of house shows is to work on skills and characters and she waived it off. I was at the Collision shown in August and fans were chanting we want Mami at Buddy Murphy and he did look annoyed but did the veteran thing of not acknowledging it, fans do suck sometimes with the chants and to her credit, I think Maxxine let it roll off her back (if she even heard it). Maxxine is trying very hard and I give her all the credit in the world for doing so!

I looked up some upcoming house show ticket prices on ticketmaster and they're not cheap. Over $100 for the better seats. $200 - $500 for the various VIP packages.
Imagine paying all that money to see an untrained wrestler against one of the worst wrestlers on the roster and then having someone making at least $250k (Rhea) telling you not to boo or say they suck because she's trying to get better. They're lucky they weren't angrier and shouting for refunds.

They're lucky they weren't angrier and shouting for refunds. Meanwhile NXT house show tickets are significantly cheaper. And there’s an understanding with the fans that a lot of the NXT wrestlers are green and to cut them some slack. Maxxine should be working NXT house ahows.

The other thing is like...Maxxine didn't speak up on this thing. Other people did. She played her part and even if it bugged her, you didn't see that come through in that video. People are making this more than it needs to be.

People are making this more than it needs to be. And it is making all those women (idk of any of the male talent has said anything) look all the worse for it. Like if they were really mad they should take it up with the likes of HHH for putting Maxxine in a position she clearly is not ready for....but nope can't do that because it would actually be trying to really solve an issue instead of attacking fans for basically nothing because there was some booing and like two goofs told her to go away like that isn't just wrestling in general.

You know Vince isn’t in control given that WWE acknowledged the death of ole Anderson.

I love Maxxine, but I don't really see anything wrong with the booing. They're the ones who are going to look like fools when she becomes one of the greatest of all time!!!

I can only think that the roster has gone so hard to defend Dupri here is that she’s actually been really shook by it. Like, you never know for sure, person to person, how one might react to something like this. And there’s also the fact that, you might see one of these things go semi-viral at any given time, but so often it’s just the tip of the iceberg. I just hope she’s OK.

What I don’t get and keep coming back to is why is she on the main roster wrestling. I think she’s pretty cool and has a charm to her but she’s never been anywhere close to ready for the spots they’ve put her in from day one. I don’t have an issue whatsoever with people booing, that comes with the job but I really do not get why she is in that position.
Even if she is demanding she keep getting the matches or work to put in, she’s just not ready and you have a state of the art place for her to hone her craft?

I’m probably one of the few people here that likes Nia, but if someone is out there “trying to get better” they shouldn’t be in there with Nia you’re out there fighting for your life at that point. It’s in no way Maxine’s fault because she just works with who she’s told to work with but management should have her in there with a lady that can actually work and teach her something. Nia is a monster heel there’s only so much to learn from her. All of that said booing and heckling is a part of every sport/entertainment medium out there and shouldn’t really get to these people. WWE prices are way up there these days if someone isn’t doing good or they don’t like what’s out there the fans have every right to boo or heckle as long as it isn’t anything indefensible or malicious. 🤷🏻♂️

I’m usually on the side of being gentle with people but all the “she’s out there getting better for you!” statements are annoying. It’s not for me. It’s for the company and her bank account mostly. She probably does take a lot of pride in her performance, but don’t talk down at us. It’s not for “us”. If she stopped wrestling tomorrow the show would go on and people would forget. That’s the nature of it.
It feels patronizing to her too. I’ve been doing stand up for years. If I do a bad job, I don’t expect a ton of hate but i also don’t expect to be commended for trying. Granted, she hasn’t been wrestling for as long as I’ve done stand up, but then again, I wasn’t learning in giant arenas where people spent good money to see me.

Dave Meltzer actually made a good point on this. He basically said that the other women should be annoyed at the COMPANY for putting Maxxine in the position to begin with
Not fans who, gasp boo something bad at an event they paid to go and see.

Dude. The people complaining the most about this are the ones who didn't even watch the match (its floating out there on YT). It wasn't even bad or offensive. It just existed. The fans chanting awful stuff at Maxxine were just being dicks for no reason at all. The match wasn't good, but it also wasn't bad either. It was no better or worse than 99.9% of other house show matches. And Dave is like the last person I want to get my women's wrestling opinions from, considering his track record of talking about women is absolutely abysmal in general.

No one would be talking about this if the other women wouldn’t have flipped out and started slamming fans for DARING to boo at an event. They made this bigger than it needed to be. Nothing the fans said was out of bounds. Funny thing, Dave even said in his comments that he knew he’d get blowback for saying that. And you have proved him right in this case.

Dave gets blowback because his opinion on women are largely terrible. He praises them sometimes, but otherwise has shown he largely doesn't care about women's wrestling. As for the Maxxine stuff, again, the stuff being hurled at Maxxine was way beyond normal booing. And it's not just WWE women coming out in support of Maxxine as well. You are seeing AEW Women start to come out as well in support of her. And the way your post is worded absolutely reeks of misogyny, by the way.

I thought Maxxine's whole gimmick was that she was a bad wrestler, lol. I think some fans missed the joke (or I did).
