I think Thanos lays waste to a lot more than that and Dr. Strange sends Hawkeye and Ant-Man on a cross time adventure to fix things using the Time Stone. Well we know from the set photos of Avengers 4 that Ant-Man ends up at the Battle of New York, so I don't think you're far off base there.

So, not sure how valid these are, but major potential spoilers follow. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I read on another forum that 4 major characters die in the film. Loki, Nebula, Drax, and Steve Rogers. Tony Stark gives Bucky the Captain America shield at Steve's funeral. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} IF LOKI DIES I'M 100% GOING TO LOSE MY SHIT. F*** THAT NOISE SIDEWAYS.I really want something like an Loki: Agent of Asgard movie but I doubt Marvel would do it.

I’ve just got a feeling Hawkeye and Ant-Man return with a crew of time traveling Avengers in tow to whip that purple ass. There’s no way that Cap doesn’t get to Assemble the team one time before he’s gone for good. I just hope they extend Jeremy Renner past these two. A trio of Thunderbolts movies would be perfect for a post-Avengers MCU. (Zemo led team of government assigned villains turned heroes, Hawkeye led team, Winter Soldier led team.)

I also feel like there's no way Marvel does this Black Widow movie without Hawkeye. Those charaters are way too intwined in the MCU. I would honestly love some kind of Black Widow/Hawkeye spy movie.

They're at least doing the Ronin arc with Hawkeye, and Renner really does deserve a chance to really shine.

After seeing the trailers for the new Avengers movie I really really want to see it. Sadly the nearest theater is horrible. The seats feel like they were filled with concrete. The walls are so thin you can hear the audio of the movies playing in the other screening rooms. Plus since there is nothing for the teens/young adults to do locally they goto the movies. And can't seem to understand that texting during a movie is very distracting. The bright light from their phone screens is almost blinding in a dark theater.
So looks like I am gonna wait on Avengers Infinity to hit Blu Ray.

I still think Captain Marvel gives him that out unless they really kill him on AoS. I think there’s two groups leading into Avengers 4: Hawkeye and Ant-Man’s team and the team of survivors. Only two guys in the MCU know about Carol: Fury and Coulson. It would make sense for Fury to finally play that card at the end of CM or in a credits scene. Fury tells of another hero...the first hero that they met in their early careers and how she’s off with an alien race protecting the galaxy. He talks about they still have some tricks up their sleeve that Thanos doesn’t know about. Then Coulson emerges to everyone’s shock and he says it’s time to bring Carol home.

Me, a friend and my mothers already have tickets reserved for Saturday. The two of us are pretty geeky, but my mom is unfamiliar with most of the MCU canon outside of Black Panther and the two Guardians films. She coos over Rocket and has a crush on Chadwick Boseman, so that was enough to hook her.
Even going into this thread makes me nervous because of the spoiler mentions. So I know it’s gonna get tougher navigating myself online before next weekend.

I think it is hilarious that there are actual odds on who lives and dies here. Cap was only 100 to 1 to die in Infinity War, since Evans said his contract is up with the next Avengers movie. I tend to think no one important will die at all when all is said and done. Thanos will kill a bunch of people but they'll wave the magic wand, use whatever stone, and then everyone will return. This is a company too afraid to kill off the basically pointless Jim Rhodes in Civil War for crying out loud. Do you really think they're killing off Tony Stark or Steve Rogers? In the case of Chris Evans he probably won't have much of a career outside of these movies so they'll probably keep Cap sort of alive (even if retired or whatever) in the case he wants to return.

Evans has said his plan was to leave after his contract is up specifically because he doesn't want to be doing these kinds of big movies and is turning his focus to smaller supporting roles, directing and the theatre (he's currently in the middle of a run on a Broadway show). I've no doubt that if/when he wants to come back the door will be open, but I don't think he's going to be short of work for a long while yet.

Chris himself said all he wants is a freaking vacation and to direct his little indie movies. He's definitly made enough money for the rest of his life off the MCU. I doubt he'll want to go back.

I keep seeing people expecting Bruce to die, which is dumb, they’re not gonna kill him before he makes another Hulk/She Hulk.

I keep seeing people expecting Bruce to die, which is dumb, they’re not gonna kill him before he makes another Hulk/She Hulk. Think the only real problem is they can’t since Universal own the single movie rights and all that. It’s why he’s only in bit parts and side acts for the most part. So unless that changes, and considering Comcast would probably ask Disney for an arm and a leg probably out of resentment for missing out on 20th Century Fox, it’s not as unrealistic as you’d think.

If no one major dies then Infinity War loses any form of emotion that's necessary in my opinion. But to be absolutely fair in your statement you're not wrong either. A lot of people are expecting certain characters to die and maybe that's where the disappointment comes in. I remember expecting certain characters to die in Age of Ultron and while one did, it definitely wasn't what I was expecting, certain fans were literally expecting a major death in Civil War and were absolutely livid that Cap didn't die in Civil War. So once again you're not wrong in your statement at all. I am fully on board that Rhodey should've died in Civil War. I don't care what anyone says. That was one death that should've happened to give it the push it needed and I loved Civil War. However, if Infinity War follows the line of again being afraid to kill off major characters then it's failed in my opinion. And I honestly don't know why Disney, of all companies is afraid of killing off characters. Lord knows they've traumatized us as kid and even as adults with Bambi, Lion King, Big Hero Six, Pete's Dragon, Fox and The Hound, and etc with their themes of loss and pain.

So long as the journey is entertaining, I’ll be satisfied. If they can achieve that without major casualties, then fine, though I don’t expect the Avengers to go deathless. Some of the best Disney films don’t have death scenes.

No one dying in this would be irritating.
