Does anyone in WWE besides the people making video packages actually remember he's supposed to be at WrestleMania?
Like, yeah, I get it, he's a movie star with a busy schedule so he can't show up very often, but you could at least give some sort of indication that he'll do something other than be in the building? I mean, I guess he could cut another pointless, endless promo where he blathers on about nothing for 20 minutes but even then, what's the point? What is he going to talk about? At least at Mania 27 he was being billed as the host and had a storyline going in, at 30 it was a nostalgia thing with two other huge stars, and at 31... There wasn't a point to it really but at the time they wanted to do that stupid Triple H / Rock match so whatever.
The way they're doing it's especially weird if they go the route everyone's expecting and have him either help Reigns or at least endorse him after he wins (because God knows it worked at the Rumble). Shouldn't they at least in that case be stacking the deck against Roman to make Rock's help warranted in kind of a Backlash 2000 kind of way or building up the adversity to him winning the title or something instead of having Reigns disappear for two weeks then come back and beat Triple H senseless two weeks in a row with just one to go, making him look completely invincible and leaving no real time to actually build up any odds that'd be big enough to warrant Rock's help?
Hardly the only thing about this Mania season that is an utter mess, but still, they had to have a better way to go about this than what they're doing. Hell, could've made it so the ending of the Ambrose / Triple H match led to needing a ref not in Triple H's pocket and thus Rock being called in, it'd have been so easy to get there from that point and they just didn't do it.
