I remember watching this in theaters. It was weird, yes. It did not make sense. But for some reason, this is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Going to post before I watch the vid. For the record as it sits right this minute, I liked this movie a lot. Usually I hate over done CGI but in the context of this girl's fantasy it worked. I liked the different styles they used for each chapter in their quest, I liked the sacrifice story they told and the way they elated this girl's mental anguish...oh and Emily Browning is hot AF

It just occurred to me how much Snyder's films all look the same. I mean ,I get having a signature style, but damn! Also, don't tell me they dragged poor Carey Mulligan into this.  |

I remember thinking it looked badass, only to watch it and find the badass scenes in the trailer were just 15 minutes worth of the movie and the rest being depressing and mean-spirited. One of the few times I was actually mad at a movie.

One of the few times I was actually mad at a movie. This is like every Zack Snyder and Michael Bay movies. They sure can shoot incredibles trailers. But that's because you don't have to be a storyteller in trailers, it's a bunch of unrelated scenes thrown together. |
