It was touched on in an earlier thread about some angles and characters not getting much time on NXT due to it only being an hour long, so this should be brought up again.
Looking at the absolutely stacked roster, would you welcome more time to see them all? Think of the enormous amount of talent they've got in there now, and how quickly guys can be lost in the shuffle among the big stars and the new names.
An extra hour might give guys time to try and flesh out their characters. The Vaudvillains are heels now, and how do we know that? Because now they scowl on the way to the ring. If they cut a promo in the ring that would establish that more. Imagine Corbin being interviewed by Graves, and ripping into the Internet and their heroes.
There's just too much going on in NXT, too much talent and not enough time for them all.
NXT needs another hour.

Maybe one and a half. Two might be a bit much.

WWF Superstars was an hour and got about 5 or 6 angles pushed a show. ECW used to put 10 different personalities out there in 3 minutes with their old "Miserlou" closing promos. You can do a LOT in an hour if you actually plan your shows well.

Yes, and No.
Two hours would be good, maybe. But Two hours could be very, very bad.
I kind of think how it is now works, let the really green people work house shows/dark matches/non-tv and let the more advanced people work TV.
Maybe though a little segment every week highlighting stuff going on off TV.

Maybe one a and a half. Two might be a bit much. Yeah, that could work. 90 minutes of NXT. Done. Get Hunter on the phone.

I'd go upto 90 minutes maximum. The beauty of one hour is the fast paced nature of the show. It doesn't drag and nothing feels drawn out. Best of all you don't see the same faces wrestle week after week.
My fear is that adding an extra hour will bring the same problems you see on Raw and Smackdown each week.

How about a second hour long show at a different time, like Saturday

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I think it works cause they don't have to build up to a Takeover EVERY month. 1 hour a week for 12ish weeks seems like a perfect amount thus far.

An hour is the perfect length for a wrestling show.

If NXT goes to two hours, then it will just fall into the same problems as the main roster with guys getting overexposed.
WWE needs to fix its problems with main roster programming so they can start moving people up and making room for fresh NXT talents.
- People who are obviously too good for developmental need to be moved up. - People who are likely never going to be "big deals" or "draws" on NXT or have been there forever should be kicked upstairs to the main roster to possibly serve as enhancement talents - Any main roster talent who needs a "re-tooling" should have it take place on the main shows rather than coming down to NXT and taking time away from the actual developmental talent who need it.

The regular NXT show itself really isn't super amazing good. It's just decent because of the time and because you don't get sick of any one person, just like WWECW was decent. 2 hours would shit on NXT.
They run a Takeover every few months with some serious prep and only have like 5 matches, to really make it a good show (which they do). It should be left exactly as it is forever.

What about a seperate NXT type magazine show. Some recap, a couple vinettes, and 2 matches exclusive to this show. Maybe Graves does a sit down weekly with someone. Just a lot of things you could do with it. NXT Saturday Night!!!!!

No no no. A big appeal of NXT to me is that it's an hour long and you don't see everybody every week. The show flies by. If it's not broke, don't try to fix it.

Maybe not a second hour, but it might be time for another title belt. Especially with all of the recent and potential signings coming up.

I'd say it's probably time to go to an hour and a half, wouldn't go above that. Brevity is part of what makes NXT work.
