The matches, while pretty good, ended with some rather illogical victors, given the build-up to WrestleMania. Although I think Sami Zayn should have won the ladder match given his history with Kevin Owens, Zack Ryder winning was a pleasant surprise for me.
AJ should have defeated Chris Jericho, considering that Y2J himself was the person that turned on AJ, and disintegrated their tag team, and he shoved a Y2AJ shirt in his mouth on RAW. Then, he burned one on SmackDown, showing his frustration for people's admiration of AJ Styles.
Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar in a Street Fight was very, very disappointing. The majority of the match was Dean taking suplexes from Brock, which is starting to get very old. Dean only used two weapons, a kendo stick and a chair. Ambrose can't seem to catch a break when it comes to big feuds; he's always talking shit in the build-up, only to lose in the match. For all of their efforts on building up the match, I think Ambrose should have won. All those countless times of not getting the upper hand on Brock, WrestleMania could've been his time to shine. But, sadly, that didn't happen.
I think Sasha or Becky should have on the triple threat. I think, with a new Women's Championship, there should be a new individual to introduce people to the new lineage. But, instead, we get Charlotte, former Diva's Champion now Women's Champion. I think we're going back to the same old-same old with her as the champ. Really screwed up an opportunity to do something new.
Not very fond of the League of Nations beating the New Day. I did like Austin, Foley, and HBK coming out to kick some ass.
Shane vs. Undertaker was an okay match. I really didn't know who to root for. I really admire Shane McMahon; he really does give it his all when he steps in the ring. Shame he had to lose in front of his three sons and wife.
The Battle Royal made a pretty good choice in having Baron Corbin win. Makes sense to have someone from NXT to win it, as it can give him a bit of notoriety.
The Rock vs. Erik Rowan, now that was a match of epic propo--what the heck am I saying?! That was like the next Kane vs. Chavo at 'Mania XXIV.
Triple H vs. Roman Reigns is Orton vs. HHH at 'Mania XXV part 2; another plodding, "methodical" match that was an absolute chore to watch. The highlight of that was Stephanie looking pretty hot in that outfit. That, and the ridiculous amount of booing Roman received from the crowd.
Overall, the show was disappointing.

Worst collective winners of all time without a doubt. Most of the show was WWE telling people to go f*** themselves.

I didn't want to make a thread about it, so I figured I'd ask it here. Was there any announcement of certain match stipulations changing? Like for example, New Day vs League of Nations was meant to be a handicap match and was changed to a six man tag.

History will be kind to it, when we rewatch it on the network in months or years to come I think a greater appreciation of the woman's match and AJ/Jericho and these matches role in the card will grow. However you can't put on a 6 hr show and main event it with a rest hold style match between two guys who don't mesh and expect the tired audience both at home and in the stadium to go home happy.

I think the show was an accurate result of the build that preceded it. My only disappointment is in unrealistic expectations of the show over-achieving. It was a good show with one great match (the triple threat), some interesting spectacles and surrealities (AJ in a WWE ring for Wrestlemania, the climax to this arduous Roman Reigns experiment, New Day Cereal Box, Shane's leap), the advent of the Women's Championship could end up being a pretty big step as far as history goes. There have definitely been worse but WWE needs to get their shit together and stop leaning on nostalgia, because these guys are not going to be around forever, and at some point you gotta give guys a chance to break the mould and if anything this was the time to do it.

Good matches in Jericho/Styles, The Womens Triple Threat, and the Ladder Match
But the show was overall bogged down by horrible booking decisions, shitty segments, burial of the Wyatts as per Mania tradition, and overall the ending being Roman Reigns as everyone expected, booed out of the building
Ambrose/Lesnar was probably the most insulting to me, way to make a guy that everyone wants to be a top star look like shit, and barely even use the weapons he was given at all!
Not the worst, but it's gotta be one of the most frustrating Mania's I've ever seen, because people are right, a few things different, and people would be praising it, AND THAT'S THE WORST PART... if some things would have been done differently, then the show would have been much more positive! But in the end, it wasn't, and we were left with this
This mess, that highlighted the horrible flaws in WWE Booking and overall what they think is good, when it isn't reflected one bit to them.
This Mania can catch a hard L for basically being what felt like the run of the mill shit show Pay Per View instead of Mania... and that's just sad...

Na. It was very great from an in-ring standpoint and watching individual matches in the next 6-months to a year there will be no complaints. Just as a whole it was so deflating.
9, 11, 27, 16. All worse.

This thread taught me people will enjoy anything. I'v seen ASPCA commercials I've enjoyed more then this trainwreck. It sucked. It just sucked. WWE Will read this and have Michael Vic as special guest for Wrestlemania 33.

No, but definitely in my bottom 5. Though in all honesty, for nostalgic reasons -- I'd rather watch some lesser Manias like 5 or 9 again than ever go back to 32.

No way! I enjoyed this year way more than last year. Besides Ambrose/Brock being a huge let down, Austing/Foley/HBK wasting time and HHH\Reigns being the main event I loved the show. I agree, I actually liked this Wrestlemania and I was cool with Austin/Foley/HBK showing up. Minus Foley, it makes sense since they are in Texas. Pretty much all of the matches were very good, although the main event kind of sucked both the match and especially the ending and Ambrose/Lesnar was a let down. The woman's match was fantastic, the IC title match was fun and Ryder won, Undertaker/Shane was a good but slow match with Shane's ridiculous bump at the end, Corbin won the Andre the Giant battle royal which was actually a fun match and I actually enjoyed the Rock's segment unlike last year until Rousey showed up. I think the only reason people liked last year's mania more was simply due to the ending.

I can't believe some people keep saying 'worst ever'.
Yeah not enough wrestlers the fans wanted to win won. I fully agree. If Banks and Styles won it would have fixed this. Or even if they lost but the main event had a Daniel Bryan moment then it would have been fine.
Other than the results the first two hours were very good and with the exception of that crazy Shane spot the last two hours were very poor.
But lets look at what we got.
The best multi-man ladder match in years.
A cracker to finish the feud between Jericho and Styles.
One of the best Womens matches in the history of WWE.
The HIAC match wasn't great but we had the Shane spot.
All of those means it's NO WHERE near being one of the worst Wrestlemanias. The thought shouldn't be even entertained.

When I think about it, this year's Mania is a perfect example of today's main WWE product. Incredible talented roster whom you can't enjoy fully due to the sheer incompetence in the writing/booking.
It's WCW 1999-2000!
