Surprised that the most emphatic winner of the Wrestlecrap gooker award was in the Mania main event.

I thought it was a great intro but at the same time her comments were clearly referring to the IWC's needs with Reigns.

I wasn't paying that much attention. Though I still think she looked like a Disney on ICE Wicked Queen or something.

It was as flat out ridiculous as I expected and wanted it to be.

I was too busy being furious that they wouldn't cut it for time (for the record, it was 4 am here by the time that entrance started) and my wife fell asleep.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure now that whoever wrote that promo (maybe Stephanie herself) doesn't get the concept of subtext. And I'm not surprised by that fact.

Embarrassed and amused.

Kind of amused just because it felt obvious that they were trying to gather some sort of face reaction for Roman by making Stephanie and HHH out to be such dicks. Problem is, even ignoring the problems with Roman as a face, HHH's entrance was actually cool.

She came across like the wrestling equivalent of Rita Repulsa, only hot.

I thought it was absolutely incredible. Stephanie is so, SO great at her role. Don't hate.

One last ridiculously desperate and over the top attempt to get the crowd to boo them and cheer for Roman.

Is there a word for being both angry and aroused? the germans call it schadenboner as for my thoughts on the promo... i'm genuinely confused and weirded out by the fact people seemed to like it. it was terribly written, the intent was ridiculous, and it more or less confirmed every negative thing ever said about her and her family and her husband re: their actual egomania and not giving a shit about wrestling and only caring about themselves. i also kept thinking it would segue into her mocking reigns and somehow introducing him first, and thought there might've been something clever there, and it would've followed the eternal tradition of the challenger entering first, which they broke. but that wasn't even a big deal. mostly i just thought it was ridiculously bad and it made me realize once and for all i'm a big wrestling fan, but i'm not a wwe fan at all anymore.

It exposed how desperate they were to get Reigns cheers.

Loved it. One of my favorite moments of the night. As said in another thread, I love that over the top, heavy metal shit.

From a kayfabe perspective, why would a WWE executive be showing open disdain for its audience?

From a kayfabe perspective, why would a WWE executive be showing open disdain for its audience? I dunno, why do they do it in real life?
