It was an all right episode, the moral is similar to "Scare Master" being that friends don't have to do everything together, is that message? Is this the first episode none of the Mane 6 appear, unless I messed a cameo of one of them.
But yes you make getting a cutie mark the center piece of your life, once you achieve that goal, there is a whole in your life. And I like that Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo get over this more easily than Apple Bloom, because to me Apple Bloom always more obsessed getting a cutie mark than the others. So it is naturally it would take a little longer to move on.
I do think they might have go beyond Ponyville's borders to help more ponies. I am sure if they had someone to watch over them, they could do it, their families would let them.
Though she didn't have any lines, and I can't wait for her first full post redemption appearance, and to be honest I am more interested in her post redemption life than Starlight and that is Diamond Tiara. We saw her and Silver Spoon with a new friend and I think she was fitting this new girl. I want to see what they do with the new Diamond Tiara.
All and all for a CMC it was okay. I mean it is just of the new chapter in their lives, I am sure they will go on some interesting adventures.

Late with this, as I just got home from a brief day trip.
Final score for "On Your Marks" is... 7/10. While nothing outstanding, its a well done and necessary post Cutie Mark episode for the CMC, giving some small growth for the group. It lacks the outright fun quirky character bits and humor from last week, but Applebloom's song and enough fun new pony designs make it worthwhile enough. In regards to recent episodes, I think Bloom and Gloom, Crusaders of the Lost Mark, and this make for an effective Cutie Mark trilogy all things considered (with Appleoosa's Most Wanted definitely skippable).

Giving this one an 8. Necessary episode for the characters (and at points meta about it) but I thought Applebloom was a little TOO extreme, though that's probably part of the point of the story.
Thought it would have been neat if Bulk came back around at some point while Applebloom was still looking
