And Twilight could not transform them because...? She has not met a seapony until the movie - and there's been no mention they exist, so unless she has an obscure book (likely) with more information, it would be better that a spellcaster in the seapony nation (potentially populated by land-born ponies at some point) know how to transform walking ponies into swimming ones. |

If they showed her doing some actual research on them for a little bit instead of "oh hey I found a spell isn't that convenient?" then I might be okay with it. I'm thinking more the inhabitants transform the mane cast.... "We have had visitors before". That I actually wouldn't have a problem with. |

Either way, I think the series has earned enough goodwill over the last five and a bit seasons for us to give the movie at least some chance that it'll be good.
After all, didn't the whole fandom basically start on giving something that looked like it could have been bad a chance?

Of course I'll give the movie a chance. I'm not going to dismiss it over something that is purely speculation at this point. And even if it does happen it's only one element in the overall story.

just solved the whole "bubbles as helmets" baloney ..... If there's a theatre near me that's playing the movie, you're damn right I'm buying a ticket, even if it's a limited release like EqG 2.
