So they're just throwing the Planet Hulk look into this?
...sure, why not?

I never realized how good this movie's cast looked until now.
Hopefully it's better than Dark World. I'm glad that it looks like it's focusing more on the mystical side of things rather than shoehorning in the moral characters like Jane Foster and Darcy. But Thor 2 had more problems than just that.
I wonder if the Time or Soul Stones are going to be involved in this movie.

Logo... I love the 80s sci-fi movie font for Ragnarok *edit* also is it possible to change the thread title to just "Thor: Ragnarok Thread" now?

The new logo has me thinking that things will likely be not as dour and serious as the title suggests. Maybe a rip-roaring 1980s space buddy drama with Thor & Hulk facing down the end of reality, but having a hell of a time doing so.

Clip that was shown at SDCC Between this and the new logo....can't tell if this is a Thor movie or Guardians Of the galaxy 2 prologue.

To clarify about the purported "clip" from the film: Apparently, that was just a humorous bit shown to fans as a tongue-in-cheek explanation as to why Thor & Hulk were MIA for Captain America: Civil War.

All of Taika Waititi's prior films have been comedic in nature, and he's already said he added some humour to the script, so I figure this will be anything but dour.

It appears neither will be appearing. Considering Marvel essentially tricked Natalie Portman into appearing in the last one, I wouldn't be surprised if Jane is quietly written out. One down... Yeah, I know but still they recast a Main Character they'd have no problems recasting a support I struggle to think of a reason for Jane to be a useful part of an apocalyptic Asgard story anyway, much less survive even the first act. She dragged down Dark World, so dropping her altogether would probably be best. That being said, Portman did attempt to pull out after Jenkins was released and Marvel had to remind her of her contract to keep her in place. You know, quite frankly, between her attitude and performance quality with Thor and Star Wars, I'm fine with Portman never doing another franchise movie again. I just want rid of Dennings She destroyed TDW for me.....mind the movie was weak anyway but she was the straw
