I think he is pretty freaking cool, but why does he do the DX chop on the way to the ring?

So much hype about this guy and he didn't disapoint me in anyway. He made me realise why I love pro wrestling.

Imagine Nakamura vs HBK in his prime. Their charisma would melt the ring.

He's the kind of wrestler I would show to non-wrestling fans. He oozes charisma.

I can't take that thing he does on ropes seriously, it reminds me of Maryse. You say that like its bad.... Now I really want to see Nakamura vs Miz if only for Maryse to do her hairflip on the ropes, and then Nakamura to do his YEAOH!.

Watching Miz react to Nakamura's... Nakamuraness would be great.

He has incredible body language. In fact the only guy I can really think of off the top of my head who might have compared is Eddie Guerrero. Both had that electricity in their movement and could get a rise out of a crowd by just a single movement.

Actually, dunno if they're showing Axxess stuff on NXT weekly this year (since I can't see a crew at ringside and they taped a few weeks a day later), but there's fan-cam footage of a fun Nakamura vs. Blake shindig, where it's 2 parts funsies to 1 part wrestling. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ef3TNn0WmQAmazing how many NXT call-ups there's been in the last month or so and yet there still remains so many matches for Nakamura on NXT...Aries, Itami, Joe, Ciampa, Balor and Andrade (again). If he wrestles even 50% percent of that crew we're in for a fun few months on the yellow brand.

I guess he's got that Jeff Hardy "Free spirit" thing going where it works for him but would look incredibly stupid on anyone else. Agree with that, it reminds me that if someone like Dicapro or Cruise (both fine actors in their own right) had been cast as Jack Sparrow the movie would have bombed big time.

He's a campy asskicker. His persona as the weird henchman in a movie would have people screaming from the rooftops to give him his own movie.

I've been a fan since he blew me away at WK9.
I've watched the match with Zayn about a half dozen times, and right now my favorite moment in the entrance is he gets into the ring, puts his hand over his mouth, makes an awesome face and does his bit on the ropes. I don't know why but that entire sequence just sums up what I love about Nakamura. No one else would do that, and it's a subtle thing he brings to the table (the hand over the mouth with his expression) and it's amazing.
It's weird that it sticks out to me so much with so much other awesomeness going on, but it's that little added bit that just makes him special. Definitely a once in a lifetime superstar.

I see your Shinsuke Nakamura and raise you a Randy Savage.
Nakamura is seriously something special though, he's what you get if Freddie Mercury decided to kick people's asses for a living instead of being a rock star. Dude's a born showman and superstar.

After only seeing two of his matches (vs AJ at Wrestle Kingdom and vs Sami at Takeover), the guy has become my favourite wrestler. Nothing else to say really, this thread has summed it up. He is brilliant.

I re-watched his NXT entrance and there's one place which he could make more grandiose. When he walks on the apron before entering the ring.
He could do some fancy stepping, nothing like a goose step, maybe a high step? 1-2-3 of them then he enters the ring, does his dramatic face palm and then does the thing in the ropes.
Which we'll have to find a name for, because "thing in the ropes" doesn't quite capture the spirit of it.

I can't take that thing he does on ropes seriously, it reminds me of Maryse. what the f*** are you talking about i went from having no idea who he was to watching wrestle kingdom 9, seeing him do the rope taunt, and immediately becoming a massive fan i didn't even need the match, because that's the best entrance taunt i've ever seen it says "i'm here, bitch, and i'm the biggest superstar ever" It's the exact same taunt, I don't know who done it first and I don't give a shit but it's the same.

That's pretty much exactly how I described him to somebody. "He's Freddie Mercury, if the Kind of Magic involved kneeing people really hard." I need to see his NJPW stuff. Whatever "It" is, he has it to spare.

Dude taping and (what I can only assume is) his son constantly yelling bugged the piss out of me lol. I will say I genuinely lost it when he tried to give the kiss to the ref, then stomped it out. He definitely gets it.

Loved the intro. Took me until about the third watch to notice he winked at the camera right before the fight, too.

Clearly, WK9 and WK10 are go-to's, but that's another option if you're not sure where to start.
