Kinshasa is one of the worst names I've heard for a finisher. I'm disappointed they didn't stick with the bomaye, or come up with something better than kinshasa. Funny story there, both names came from the rumble in the jungle. Boma Ye was chanted (which translates as kill him) while Kinshasa was where the fight was held

Bomaye means 'kill him' so I'm not really surprised that WWE won't use that name. The move is called Kinshasa because this is the city where the famous 'Rumble in the Jungle' took place between Ali and Foreman. It was during this fight where the fans chanted, "Ali, bomaye!" This is where the famous chant "I-no-ki, bom-ba-ye!" comes from. Nakamura named the Bomaye after the Inoki chant. The new name references the birth of that chant.

I'm aware of that (I wasn't before he debuted, but I remember someone directing me towards it before), I just think it sounds terrible.

Honestly, I'd mark the f*** out if they called it "View Japan". A fire pro reference would be cool to me... but I realize I'm in a very, very small minority with that one.

Anyone else annoyed at how silent the crowd was?
I actually prefer Full Sail.

You could tell Nakamura thought the crowd sucked initially. Of course he would- all of these Brittanians in the crowd see him give his soul the night before with a match like that with Zayn, and once he's in regular TV matches they say THAT to him?

Graves calling Kinshasa is quickly becoming a signature part of the show. Also, shame on me for not realizing how much chemistry Nakamura and Dillinger were likely to have. Just pure, unapologetic fun.
Aries' new finisher's pretty sweet. I've been wondering for a while if anyone's ever gonna use the pounce kinda set-up again, and Aries utilizing it for a spinning elbow look flat-out mean.
Also, Liv Morgan's moveset looks pretty novel, so I'm looking forward to keeping track of her as she develops.
Very productive and solid show all-around.
Next week's show look pretty stacked. We're also likely to get an Asuka appearance, so there's that too.

Okay, Angelo Dawkins has a nice theme song...and that's about it. Can we please just kick him upstairs so he can job on the main roster? Dude has been a "featured enhancement talent" ever since Full Sail NXT was a thing and still really hasn't caught on. I'll admit he's a competent worker, but I don't think he's ever going to be a "big deal". Aries was aight (The Aight-est Man That Ever Lived). He's a solid talent, but I'm not terribly interested.
Samoa Joe is Still Mad, and he's coming for Apollo Crews.
Another No Way Jose vignette. He's coming "next week".
Alexa vs. Tessa Blanchard was great. I'd like to see Tessa signed and paired with Charlotte. I also like Alexa shouting down the NXT Chants. Alexa needs an NXT Womens Title run imo.
Finn Balor is waiting for Nakamura. I'd love to see them fight for the NXT Title as well.
Imo Gargano and Ciampa are being wasted as a tag team. As much as NXT is pushing the tag division, and as good as some of the guys like American Alpha/the Revival are, I feel like the performers in the NXT Tag Team division are all beneath them. Gargano and Ciampa are the guys that they should be building a singles midcard division around; NXT doesn't need a midcard title, but they desperately need to a mid-level tier to help bridge the gap between the likes of Joe/Balor/Nakamura and the guys who are generally just used for enhancement matches
Tye mocking Nakamura was hilarious. Alex Reyes is a 3.
Tucker Knight looked good in defeat against Baron Corbin. He moved quite well for a big guy.
American Alpha and Enzo and Cass segment was pretty nice
Bayley and Liv Morgan was a decent match. Bayley also had a good post-match promo
This match was all about Nakamura, but Dillinger had his moments as well. I'm not gonna say Tye should be top guy on NXT, but he could easily be a featured player if only NXT had an actual midcard.
What I liked about this episode was that EVERYONE got an entrance. There were no jobber entrances, even though most of the matches were enhancement matches

Yeah, not sure. I just remember after a "ten" chant, I thought I heard "He's eleven." Either way, good on the crowd. They showed the crowd chanting "He's 11" It was funny. One of the more amusing crowd chants I've heard. And when they get back to Florida, the crowd can hold up that many fingers! ![](http://i.imgur.com/Cw5rU5g.png)

Until Bayley showed up, that crowd was FLAT. Tessa sadly blew her big opportunity on TV with some horrible clotheslines and a generally sucky comeback. Saw people complaining that Bayley was still happy, and should have felt more serious and a bit lost after losing to Asuka. I took it as she's trying to put up a front, but the loss is eating her inside. Liv Morgan has the groundwork of being a really good worker, but still showing that she's less than a year into her career. She'll get there the more she's in the ring.
Weird seeing Nakamura doing a short TV match, but the charisma outshines EVERYONE. Even the main roster struggles to get to that level. Graves should carry on with the KINSHASA yell, which would probably mean when Nakamura gets called up, it won't be as cool because the main roster announcers won't do that.
We're seeing signs of people moving on. Corbin felt like a "he came back that one time" deal, the Vaudevillains made way to put over Ciampa and Gargano, and it looks like Enzo and Cass will do the same for American Alpha next week, as will Apollo Crews for Samoa Joe.

Yeah, the next Full Sail tapings should be interesting in terms of which fresh talent get their proper TV roster runs started. Strangely, the one division that probably has the most talent ready to go into the regular TV rotation, the women's division, has had the least turnover over WM weekend. At this point, it only looks like Emma's gotten called (back) up, so there's not much room for a Peyton Royce/Billie Kay/Liv Morgan to all break into the TV rotation at once. And that's without mentioning Dana Brooke returning from injury and completely TV-fresh talent like Athena and Nikki Storm.

It almost sounded like Tucker Knight borrowed one of Curt Hennig's old WCW themes.

I don't know what it is but Liv Morgan just chaps my ass
Maybe it's that the whole 201 thing either seems really phony and/or just stupid
That little Bayley girl in the crowd was adorable
Loved Tye giving the interviewer a 3
That "He's 11" Chant was great so was Nakamuras reaction to Tyes 10 taunt
They really need to give Tye a proper push in my opinion.
Good to know I'm not being unduly harsh on Angelo. Even when he just shows up it sucks the atmosphere out of the show

Why did Dawkins keep stirring porridge or something?
I take it is a sports thing?

Why did Dawkins keep stirring porridge or something? I take it is a sports thing? Yes. The stomp / powder toss moves were (I assume) shoutouts to LeBron, too.

Man I'm glad to see Angelo Dawkins with kind of a gimmick going on finally. He could definitely use some new gear. The singlet and the airbrushed t-shirt aren't flashy enough for "The Curse of Greatness."

I'm guessing Tessa is on WWE's radar if she was on NXT. She's pretty good from what I've seen. If she gets signed and moves up, they have a storyline already written with Charlotte because of their dads.
