TL;DR Match Listings (based on the order of matches taped, may be subject to change):
NXT Women's Champion Asuka v Eva Marie
The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) v 3.0 (Scott Parker and Shane Matthews)
The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley) v Blake and Murphy
Carmella v Aliyah
Shinsuke Nakamura v Elias Samson
---
That's right, it's Wednesday again and that means only one thing... More new episodes of NXT! The next three weeks will see a wide selection of matches taped during the Saturday Axxess session at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, some of which could continue, begin or end the momentum of many talents going forward, be it still in NXT or beyond.
Our only officially announced bout sees the weekly TV debut of Shinsuke Nakamura. Fresh off of his incredible debut victory over Sami Zayn at Takeover: Dallas, The King Of Strong Style looks to place himself in the NXT Championship hunt sooner rather than later, but there are many young talents in NXT who will not settle for being a stepping stone. Could Elias Samson be the man to drift into Swagsuke's spotlight and give him his first loss in NXT?
WrestleMania weekend was a big one for Japanese wrestling, as Asuka dethroned Bayley as the NXT Women's Champion. But as they say, heavy is the head that wears the crown, and The Empress Of Tomorrow now finds that being the champion of today comes with everyone in the division making you their main target. Tonight, Eva Marie is the first to call her shot at Asuka in a non-title singles bout. With Nia Jax lurking in the shadows as a possible distraction, can she pull off the All Red Upset of her career?
In other bouts, Carmella begins life in NXT without the main-roster bound Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady with a singles bout against Canadian rookie Aliyah, making her first singles appearance on NXT TV. And in tag team action, the now-former NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival seek to begin their journey back to the gold against another pair of former tag champions, the former CHIKARA Campeonatos De Parejas 3.0, and Zack Ryder continues his rollercoaster run of late alongside Hype Bros partner Mojo Rawley in a tag team bout against Blake and Murphy.
None of that, but the continued baffling of all by those No Way Jose vignettes, TONIGHT on NXT!
