I don't think anyone is seriously expecting AJ to win the title on his first title shot after Reigns "triumphant" victory.

It's a huge long-shot but with as absolutely horrible as they've booked Reigns whenever he has the title, it wouldn't be a complete surprise.

It's the first step on Reigns' run of decisively beating other wrestlers more popular than him.
He's essentially Cena in 2005, running through the likes of Angle, Jericho and Christian.

No
Ideally, KO will interfere, thus protecting both guys, but my guess will be that Roman wins clean.

I don't think it's a coincidence that AJ gets a title shot pretty much out of no where and those two debut the next week. If Roman's going to just win clean, why not just go with him vs Jericho like they initially teased?

No. And this is where things like spoilers, like Meltzer laying out the top angles months in advance, honestly detract from the product.
As presented on TV, Styles absolutely has a chance of winning but most fans will know better.

SHOULD Styles take the title? That's the real question.
They've hotshotted the title on new guys before, but Roman hasn't even had an opportunity to fail as a reigning (no pun intended) champion yet. If we were heading into Summerslam, then I'd be more like "sure, give AJ the belt". Roman would easily look bad more than AJ would look good.
Let Roman keep being a smug douche and build up more heat, because it's sounding more like "I want Roman to get his ass kicked" more than "get off my screen" as of late.

Because we've been hearing for literally YEARS about how he was going to be the next top babyface come hell or high water.

No, but imagine the mark-out moment if not only he did, but he was the first to do it over Reigns CLEAN.
*Keeping fingers crossed though.

Every few months, I'll see a headline where Meltzer is reiterating the same point with one key variation. "Reigns will be the top guy going into WM 33." "Reigns will be the top guy for the next three years." "...it's five years now." It's pretty much why I'm more interested in every other division in WWE but the top. There's a little less predictability because it's comparatively less spoiled.

BC-Ference, fake taking out Reigns, instead they take out AJ
Balor joins main roster and feuds with AJ.
AJ vs Balor w/BC at Summerslam

No and he shouldn't because that ends with Roman becoming a 4 time world champion and puts him on pace to beat Flair's record in 3 years.

I'm shocked that anyone would think that given the booking on TV anyone would think Styles has a chance. Keep in mind Styles has spent the past month or so jobbing to Kevin Owens (mainly with Jericho distractions), jobbed fairly cleanly to Jericho, etc. Really AJ has no real business being in a main event right now. That's the problem with WWE. NO ONE has any business main eventing right now because everyone has been booked as such jobbers that you can't make a case for someone beyond a meta "This guy is great!" kind of case. Honestly, why would Kevin Owens main event right now? He just lost the IC title and hasn't exactly been on any sort of roll given that Ambrose was waxing him before that. Zayn? Dude just debuted and hasn't exactly been that strong.
Therein lies the problem. WWE has a terrible heel roster right now and the faces has been used so poorly that it's tough to buy them in the main event regardless of their talent. The only guy that makes any sense as a top guy at the moment is Ambrose, at least of the guys not being pushed that heavily.

Roman's getting cocky and needs to fail so he can snap. Guns and Gallows help AJ win and the following night Roman snaps because no one likes him.

No. At the very earliest, I could see Roman losing it at Money in the Bank, though I feel it's much more likely that he holds it until SummerSlam or later.
