No and he shouldn't because that ends with Roman becoming a 4 time world champion and puts him on pace to beat Flair's record in 3 years. So... what you are saying it's likely? He and Cena will be fighting over the record within 2 years

No. And this is where things like spoilers, like Meltzer laying out the top angles months in advance, honestly detract from the product. As presented on TV, Styles absolutely has a chance of winning but most fans will know better. As presented on TV? Going with that perspective; Roman is tween face who has made it to the final 3 in the last two Rumbles, Winning one of those. Roman as presented is a nearly invincible under dog who has not had a clean loss, Ever ------------------------------ AJ as presented is a guy who despite being very skilled and having wrestled around the globe could not even beat a 45 year old semi retiree who was last seen in a losing effort in a six man tag against the Wyatts. I'd love to be wrong, However much like the dreaded Cena run even non smarks are well aware of the foregone result of the ppv's.

I could see this being the start of them putting Roman against guys they know will get cheered over him just to get that whole "I'm THE guy" thing over.
They'll use the narrative that he's not the most popular guy on the roster, but he's the BIG DOG and it doesn't matter if he's booed if nobody can beat him.

I will say that I think they've done a decent job, to this point, of making AJ look like a credible challenger.

It'd be awesome, but I can't imagine them doing it this early; nor would it make any sense for any sorta Roman push honestly.
That said, Go AJ.

No, and its the correct result. I like AJ, but he shouldn't be hot-shotted to the top with the WWE Heavyweight Title just because he was big in TNA. People will enjoy it at first, but not everyone is into AJ and I wouldn't be surprised if fans don't turn on him even quicker than Roman. Also, in the last two decades nothing good has come from them hot shotting anyone with winning the WWE Title too soon. Just look at Swagger and Sheamus.
The right way with Sytles getting the Title is how they did with Brock when he was in his first run in WWE.

There's no way in hell AJ is winning the WWE title. Now or ever.

AJ as presented is a guy who despite being very skilled and having wrestled around the globe could not even beat a 45 year old semi retiree who was last seen in a losing effort in a six man tag against the Wyatts. Except for those two times earlier that he did... But that just leads to another issue altogether in the 50/50 thing. That's probably what hurts these guys more than the occasional losses on their own do.

SHOULD Styles take the title? That's the real question. They've hotshotted the title on new guys before, but Roman hasn't even had an opportunity to fail as a reigning (no pun intended) champion yet. If we were heading into Summerslam, then I'd be more like "sure, give AJ the belt". Roman would easily look bad more than AJ would look good. Let Roman keep being a smug douche and build up more heat, because it's sounding more like "I want Roman to get his ass kicked" more than "get off my screen" as of late. Agreed. Love AJ but it really wouldn't make no kind of sense to put the belt on him right now. Roman could have something with this new character he's developing, give it a chance to grow before pulling the plug on this reign.

Now?
No.
Eventually, absolutely hope so.
Will it happen? Dunno.

Only 4 people have a chance of beating Reigns for that belt and they're Rollins, Ambrose, Wyatt and Cena. If it's neither of them then nope, he's not losing it. Reigns is going to at least make it to Summerslam with that belt.

Reigns will win clean. They have to show those goddamn brass-ring-reaching millenials where their place is.

Nope.
As others have said this is Roman's official being christened as the new Cena. Going over internet favorites in the exact same way Cena did that got him booed and jeered. This is a successful business model to Vince. Instead of "push the guys whom the crowd love the most" aka "you'll sell more merch if they're booked as important, faces or heels, guaranteed"
I'm happy that AJ is getting the shot, but wish it was a couple months down the road. Other than possible BC involvement there is no aura to this match. if this were at MITB or Summerslam there'd be a nice buzz around it. Especially if they'd booked AJ strong up til then.

There's no way in hell AJ is winning the WWE title. Now or ever. Or until the next time every main eventer and half of the upper-midcard goes out with an injury (Of course, Roman will have to be one of the people on the injured list for that to happen...). ...no, never mind, you're right. They'll just put it back on Sheamus again.

If they wanted to they could have created a good story around Roman vs AJ. AJ has been the opposite of Roman all his life.
He's been a decade with TNA where even though he was their best worker, he's never been pushed right, never been made to be the guy.
He has had a couple of titles but most of the time it was almost in a "we don't have anybody else" way. And like most TNA wrestlers, he even was made to look like inferior to former WWE talents coming in. Yet AJ was like the emblem of TNA, the soul of TNA, probably so loved by the fans cause the company never pushed him fairly. And he was really only "The Guy" when he left.
If WWE played their cars right, you thought Bryan was an underdog? Well AJ is really the ultimate underdog. Against the ultimate corporate beast.
---------
But this won't happen. I think if there really a man that could have beaten Roman for the title cause of the way he was presented it was Cesaro when he returned during the 4-way. He really came off like a star and ready to take the next step. And all the stars were almost alligned with him being so over as a face when Roman isn't. They could have turned Roman heel right away entering a feud like this. But since Roman is their guy and they want him to keep the title for a while, I could see this being the Main Even at Summerslam. Keep your fingers crossed, folks.

Nope
Reigns is going to have his mitts on that title for a long time since his past 2 reigns were short.

He's essentially Daniel Bryan again. The more liked much better worker is going to lose, but by gum, he's going to respect the hell out of Roman after for being such an amazing WRESTLER.
And because AJ likes and respects Roman, you should too. It worked so well when DBry did it, so it's time to rehash.
