Awww crap, I just realised this probably means that she won't feature on Breaking Ground anymore. She came across so well on that.

I like her. She proved herself in that match with Asuka. The only problem here is there are already too many women. People are going to get lost in the shuffle. Charlotte Natalya Becky Lynch Sasha Banks Emma Paige Summer Rae Naomi Tamina Alicia Fox Dana Brooke In addition to Lana, Maryse, Rosa Mendes, Eva Marie. Thats way too many women to feature IMO. I think Tamina and Alicia Fox have run their course however. Noami and Tamina are out of action following getting hurt in Europe, I believe. Lana is being put back as a manager/valet. There goes three on the heel side. Therefore, there really was a spot open for Dana. Before Dana got the call-up, they were doing Emma and Lana vs. Sasha and Becky on the live events. Obviously Dana fits that spot better.

I like Dana; she and Emma need each other right now.
However, I do think she needed more time in NXT, since she lost so much time to her injury.
Not only was that months and months of development time lost, but she's also going to have ring rust on top of that.
On the other hand, maybe they just wanted to keep Emma working as a mentor to her on the road, and since Emma's back on the main roster, Dana has to be there too so Emma can keep being her road mother...

Kayfabe: She ran to Emma because she wanted to get away from Asuka on NXT. Which is why I brought up in the Raw thread they should call up Asuka for one night to be Becky's mystery partner/backup. Just one night. Drag this out until MITB.

Big Momma Pump is a gimmick I never knew I wanted until now. Dana: Every time I gotta talk to this dumb redneck trash I gotta dumb myself down! Dana: I'm the next Women's Championship of the world!

I want Dana to come down to the ring with a tiger.

Dana is certainly more enhanced in the pectoral region since returning back from her injury. Guess JBL gave her a clothesline to the chest like Shaniqua.

Dana has really grown on me. She nails her character and has improved. I also like that she gets to continue her friendship with Emma.
All that being said, she's in a similar boat to Apollo Crews. Dana still needed work in NXT. She was very green and missed a lot of time with injuries that didn't help. Plus, the WWE can barely book the handful of girls they have on the main roster and adding another probably won't go well.

As I said before, I'm really hoping that Emma being paired with her again means that Emma will act as "Road Mother" and be able to mentor Dana in a way that she can keep developing, even on the road.

Seems strange to me. Right now we have Charlotte in a never-ending feud with Natalya and a significantly less featured feud between Emma and Becky. Meanwhile, Sasha, Paige, and Eva are all completey out of the picture.
The assumption is that Sasha chases for the belt this summer. So what happens to all these women sitting on the sidelines? Plus factor in Naomi, Tamina, and Nikki Bella when/if they return from their injuries.
Adding Dana to the mix seems like they're just pointlessly adding another body to a division that is designed for only one prominent storyline at a time.

Meaning to add about Emma, actually, that I've been impressed how well she's been able to change up her look to work heel and improve in the ring. Things really didn't look great at all when her initial Raw stuff fell flat, but she's adapted and kept at it.

Dana still needed work in NXT. She was very green and missed a lot of time with injuries that didn't help. Plus, the WWE can barely book the handful of girls they have on the main roster and adding another probably won't go well. Even then, Dana needed it more than Apollo Crews could simply because of the difference in their weaknesses. Dana Brooke has bucketloads of charisma and owns her character. She was green in the ring- improving, but still green and coming off of an injury. That could be fixed by a little more development time to shake off the ring rust and get some more time in-ring. (Even with the fact she and Emma are a great pairing, they are...but you could have also made a good case Dana/Eva or Dana/Alexa could have been similarly good for them as a tag unit in NXT while Dana got a little more seasoning.) By contrast, Apollo Crews was good in the ring, but his time in NXT made it pretty clear he has NO charisma...and quite frankly, charisma is something where you either GOT IT or you DON'T (or, for NXT standards, you can't teach 'dat.) With Crews, you can argue bringing him up to the main roster now is fair enough simply because letting him show up and do the awesome things Crews can do will get him more over than waiting in NXT, letting him fall down the card as big new signings overtake him, and waiting for the charisma fairy to come and grant him something that in all likeliness is never going to come, no matter how many acting classes he takes (especially since Crews isn't even a "the guy can't cut a promo" or "he can't act" type of charisma where acting/promo classes could work: His acting skills are solid enough for pro wrestling, and he at least can cut a basic promo...but the guy still doesn't have charisma.)

I disagree that Crews has no charisma. Dude clearly has charisma. What he doesn't have is a character.

You need some non-featured talent for one-off matches on Superstars and Main Event and house shows, etc. You need some numbers to mix up the matchups.
