Marvel vs. DC is looking less like WWF vs. WCW and more like WWE vs. TNA with every passing movie. Movie wise that's true Video Game wise Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite flops

God I loved this movie so much. There were a few points where I was about to lean with Killmonger, but like all heels, you quickly remember why they're heels. My top 3 characters were Shuri, Okoye and M'Baku.
And on another note, I hope these movie studios and companies will (FINALLY) greenlight more projects led by Black creators. If it's a great product and has a great cast like BP had, people will come out and support in droves. Help us help you

Round 2 really made me appreciate how much Wakanda itself was built up as a world. In the runtime they showed us:
1. Who the different tribes are. 2. How they differ. 3. Why that causes conflict. 4. Why it's so vital to the MCU due to the vibraneum and heart shaped herb.

{Spoiler}So, if they’re so scared to replace RDJ, they could just do a version of the comics and get Shuri a suit.

{Spoiler} I think I'd prefer if they went about introducing Riri Williams in the MCU and grooming her to replace Stark if that's the direction they want to go to. I'd rather Shuri have her own thing if possible

Probably seeing it today. Any thoughts on seeing it in 3D or regular? Is it worth seeing it in 3D?

So new box office figures are coming in saying that, worldwide, the film's about to cross $500m.
After 9 days of release.
Goddamn...

Can I say something shocking? I didn't care for this movie. And, contrary to popular opinion, it didn't solve the franchise problems necessarily.
But I've said that about every MCU movie. I wished DC wasn't so stupid that there'd be an actual alternative for the same old same old.

So, I get tired of people praising the villain because you can't use that ever again.

{Spoiler}To be fair, they can still bring him back via the soul gem if it's in Wakanda. Seeing as he was sort of redeemed in the end. But I do agree that Marvel's killing of their villains is a bit tiresome. I would've loved to have seen more of Klau, Kilmonger, and even Alexander Pierce.

This movie did a lot of things right but I must say that Wakanda bored the Hell out of me. I was waiting for the Kirby future World but was left on my appetite.

So this weekend, it became the fourth film to top $100 million in its second weekend. By next weekend, it'll become the second highest grosser in the MCU, behind the original Avengers, in its third weekend. Its second weekend outperformed Justice League's opening, which is probably causing all sorts of screaming at Warner Brothers.
This movie's success is amazing.

So after thinking about it, my personal MCU film ranking:
1) Winter Soldier 2) Guardians 1 3) Black Panther 4) Avengers 1 5) Civil War 6) Guardians 2 7) Thor Ragnarok 8) Iron Man 1 9) Spider-Man Homecoming 10) Ant-Man
Deadpool would be #8 and Raimi-Spider-Man 2 would be #9 if I counted all Marvel related movies period.

{Spoiler}Killmonger's been killed and resurrected a few times in the comics before. It's kinda his thing.

I'm amazed at how well this movie's doing. That is one thing I'll give a ton of credit to Marvel Studios for: they make even the C-List and D-List comic book characters into real stars, in turn raising those more obscure characters' popularity in the comics. And seemingly unlike DC, they're not afraid of their popularity butting into the territory of their A-listers.
Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy were never even close to the same level of popularity as the Captain Americas, Iron Mans, and Spider-Mans of the Marvel Universe. But they were in some really well done movies, word spread, and now they're massively popular.
