ESPN was apparently all in on trying to snatch Tony Romo away from CBS, but CBS kept him on board with that ridiculous amount of money they paid him. Not sure if Romo or Peyton was their Plan A though it wouldn't surprise me if "both" was on the table, too.

“Did The Last Dance put more pressure on LeBron?”
This just popped into my YouTube recommendations.
ESPN could cease to exist and I think sports would be better off. Just put the docs on Netflix and the live sports on TNT/TBS/Fox, and the world will be good.

That's a shame. She was an excellent reporter for them. Though it sounds like Anderson's moving on on her own versus being laid off.

I always think of Josina Anderson and her bullshit Michael Sam shower report.

Wonder who they replace him with About time they give Kellerman something else to do.

I’m always shocked at how nice Bomani, Dan, Stephen A and everyone is when it comes to Cain lol I think they get a kick out of it and know just being nice disarms him and makes him look like the fool for continuing to play Devils Advocate In a sense, doing a back and forth does nothing to only benefit Will. Will won't feed them something to do a good back and forth

On that note, let's put Bomani in that spot. His radio show was a really fun listen when it ran everyday.

ESPN's 30 for 30 podcast has been running post-show episodes on The Last Dance, Be Water, Lance, and Long Gone Summer, but instead of their usual post-show format featuring regular host Jody Avirgan interviewing the documentary's director, they've changed it to Jalen Rose and Dave Jacoby of "Jalen & Jacoby" interviewing the content's creator.
And, this being my first exposure to "Jalen & Jacoby" (I'm obviously familiar with Jalen Rose's tenure in the NBA), I have to ask, are they normally the absolute worst, most gratingly-annoying, god-awful talk show hosts ever? Or is this a new phenomenon? Because I made it through about an episode and a half of their post-show discussions with The Last Dance director Jason Hehir before I deleted the entire series from my library because I couldn't stand listening to Jalen or Jacoby say another word. They're absolutely terrible.

Yes. I will take every opportunity to trash Jalen Rose. Jalen drags down everything he is associated with because he tries to sound smarter than he actually is. Jacoby isn't bad by himself but together they are highway trash
Putting them in a post discussion format is dumb. They are meant to entertain and tell stupid jokes, anything else is out their range

Pablo Torre signed a new deal with ESPN and is getting a podcast
Looks like he is getting the ESPN Daily podcast from Mina Kimes
Mina Kimes is moving to NFL Live and getting her own podcast but will still contribute to ESPN Daily

She can name backup linemen on every team lol Pablo is also good and I think he will be more appealing to people in limited clips like ESPN daily

She can name backup linemen on every team lol Pablo is also good and I think he will be more appealing to people in limited clips like ESPN daily Along with racism, I will never understand misogyny. Those ignorant assholes who yell, "How dare a WOMAN talk about sports!" Jessica Mendoza (who I've met, and is beautiful in real life 😊) has an encyclopedic knowledge of baseball. Mina is incredible too. Why does that bother people? I remember watching a clip of guys reading hate mail and tweets directed at Sarah Spain and other female sports reporters to their faces. The guys didn't write them, they were just reading them, for the record. It started out harmless, with the usual, "Stay off of tv, stay in the kitchen!" bullshit. But then as they got really graphic and gross: "I hope you get raped." "I hope your husband beats you." etc., the guys got really quiet and uncomfortable. Sarah Spain got the, "I hope your husband beats you," and she even quipped, "I'm not even married yet." Another reporter was actually raped, so to get hate mail like that is disgusting. Anyways, I thought it was revealing that these guys, who probably thought these things were just jokes or no big deal, couldn't handle saying it to the women's faces. One guy, mid-sentence, just went, "I...I don't want to say this stuff anymore." Sorry to go off on a tangent, but shit like that just makes me realize that this country isn't as great and civilized as we think/hope it is.

The Le Batard extended family is slowly taking over ESPN. This makes me happy.
