I’m honestly trying to figure out, when this is all over, whether to buy a Switch or a Switch lite? Like, I’m 75% sure I won’t ever want to play stuff on a TV and have no room on my desk for it but there’s a 25% chance I might so... I bought my Switch thinking I was gonna mostly use it in dock mode, but I’d say 99% of the time I play it it’s handheld. I definitely treat it more like a handheld then a console, the dock is essentially a fancy charger for me. If I had it over, knowing what I know now, I’d likely buy a lite and use the extra money for games or a SD card. My Switch, Mario Odyssey, SSBU and 1 year of Online cost me just shy of $600 CAD And definitely plan on buying a SD card. 32gb internal is pathetically small. I had to delete Cuphead so I could download ACNH, although I’ve got a 128 SD card coming from Amazon so I can redownload it. Might buy Link’s Awakening then too, although I’d prefer a physical copy.

I need to buy a new SD card for the Switch. Right now I have a 128GB one but I'm having to swap games in and out because Smash Bros., Fire Emblem Warriors, and Three Houses are all massive memory sinks, and my cartridge slot's broken so any games I buy for the moment need to be digital, though they generally would be anyway so that's not really a major reason for the issue.

It does mean no ring fit adventure though which is annoying. Well technically it's possible, there's a few games that don't work but nothing major, Mario party is the main one.

Honestly the whole not being able to play it handheld thing is the main reason I haven't gotten Mario Party (secondary reason being only four boards). I've had my Switch since launch day and have yet to take the dock out of the box.

I play at about 50/50 docked vs. tv.
Some games while playable in handheld mode were designed for the joycons to be seperate.
Mario Odyssey being one of them as there are moves that you can only do with motion controls.
also even when I'm playing undocked I like that hte option is there to dock it also the dock makes an easy place to store it >_>

Something I discovered is a killer way to make bells - people are willing to pay insane amounts for others to collect fish bait for them. I spent about 20 minutes making 100 of them and made 800,000 bells off of it, and that was actually well below the usual going rate of 1.5 million.

I made 70 fish bait last night to catch a stringfish, so I am that crazy/devoted.

I honestly forgot how relaxing Animal Crossing can be. New Leaf was the first one I played, and I bought that on a whim because people on this board kept talking about it. It was about a month after my wife and I separated and that game was the escape I needed. Now, once again bought the game because everyone here kept talking about it and I couldn’t take it any more and it is still just as relaxing. I recommend Animal Crossing to everyone, it just mellows you right out playing that

So, as morning has broken in USA (and I assume most users here are American), an important question must be asked to everyone in the world:
What turnip prices does everyone have?

So, as morning has broken in USA (and I assume most users here are American), an important question must be asked to everyone in the world: What turnip prices does everyone have? 91 bells for me. Since I bought them at 104 going to have to either sell them another day or find someone's town to go to. ... Repeatedly since I bought like 13,000 of the things.

Mine are at 43. I brought at 93 so I’m gonna need to wait. Unless someone has an amazing one.

I don't know why on earth people are buying it, but supposedly a ton of Mario games are being remastered this year and a new Paper Mario game's in the works. Really sounds too good to be true, especially if it were actual Paper Mario and not that soulless thing that's spent the past decade wearing its skin.

Looks like it's more than just Paper Mario. It's remasters for 3D World, Sunshine, 64, Galaxy, all of it this year for Switch.
