Based off of The Mimic monsters in Final Fantasy. Which in itself is based on another monster call Mimic from the dragon quest series. which was based off of D&D Mimics. which probably is based off an old fable... but also might just be Gary Gygax trolling his players with a treasure chest that glues you to it and then eats you... |

Admittedly I think the idea of a classically-themed Mimic Pokemon would have more novelty if they hadn't already done more unique flares on it with Voltorb, Foongus, and Galarian Stunfisk.

At this point I'm kind of just annoyed at Charizard being in the Dex at all. Give some other starters some play for once, especially with how every part of this franchise has spent years slobbering over Leon's.
